Shopdo Update - September 2021

Updated my Shopdo after what seems like an eternity! These outfits will be up for all of September along with the blue boutique theme. For the update, I wanted to go with something that felt like Spring even though the weather is still cold here. Been absolutely freezing lately and lots of rain! I decided to have a blue coloured theme for this update and went with some fresh looking outfits. 

First up is Blue Spring which is inspired by the type of outfit I'd love to wear if the weather was warm. I've always been a big fan of this skirt from Marzipan Sky so I went with it as main piece. The look is a fun youthful outfit perfect for a day out! The second outfit is a more feminine inspired outfit and I tried to use items I rarely use. Are these types of jeans back in fashion now? I feel everyone talks about them coming back and I'm dreading it. Had enough of them back in the 2000's! The outfit is a casual look ideal for shopping in an outdoor shopping area or on a spring date. The final outfit is a lively look using some items from April Bonbon that I've never really used. I picked out the shorts first and then I discovered this camisole matched them perfectly. I wonder if I've just missed this combination all these years.

Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book - Cherry Berry Clothing Items

Trying something a bit different for today's post with some exciting content from one of my Girls Mode 3 books. This wonderful book is the ガールズモード 3 キラキラ☆コーデ  book which translates to Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination in English. The book contains sections of each brand in the game and all the clothing items available. There are also some short sections on features such as decorating your boutique, colour palettes and hairstyles. This post will just focus on the brand Cherry Berry and all it's clothing items.

Cherry Berry is known as April Bonbon in New Style Boutique 2 (EUR/AUS) and Style Savvy 3 (NA). It is the main brand for lively themed clothing and contains a large selection of items over a variety of types. Clothing from Cherry Berry also falls under the following styles: girly, psychedelic, sporty, bold and preppy.

Here are photos of the Cherry Berry content in the ガールズモード 3 キラキラ☆コーデ  book. The largest section for this brand is the tops with 278 items! I've come to enjoy this brand in the game as you can make some really fun outfits and work with experimenting with colour. Some items from the glam/flirty style brand Miss Ribbon (also known as Le Spark in NA and ビスクマリー BiscMary in JPN) were moved into the Cherry Berry brand in Girls Mode 3. They work well with this brand and don't stick out randomly amongst all the colourful items.

One Item Challenge - April Bonbon

Adding another One Item set to the challenge roster and this post is all about the Frilly Tiered Shorts from April Bonbon! I decided on using these shorts as I thought they were pretty versatile and the pattern was quite subtle for use with different images. April Bonbon is known for it's bright colours and patterns, I wanted to try to find an item that was a bit softer and a neutral kinda tone that would work with opposite styles to lively such as gothic or chic.

First off, I love the background of these outfit photos. The gorgeous blue toned interior of my current boutique look matches these shorts perfectly! I started off the challenge with the standard style of the shorts which is lively and this outfit is a cute lively look. It could also pass for glam as the camisole I used originally belonged to the glam/flirty brand (which you can find out in my latest Style Boutique post here!)

My top three outfits for this One Item Challenge would be girly, chic and feminine. All very similar styles and I went for a summer look for each style. I love the girly look as it's super casual and incorporates some floral elements. Can't believe I held off using camisoles until this game, they work so well with so many outfits! The chic and feminine outfits are similar in appearance and doesn't my character look so tall in the chic outfit? Of course I had to sneak my favourite chic glasses into this look and I used them because of the blue accents on the frames. The feminine look would be my top favourite as I love this styling and the white and blue tones compliment each other well. This outer from Chorale is still one of my top new items to Styling Star and I'm actually going to sew a similar looking design for myself next year. Should be interesting to see how it turns out because I'd love to try to modify the pattern to replicate the jacket from the game. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the gothic outfit turned out as I thought I would struggle with this style. Ended up finding these top in the same colour so I built the outfit around that.

Shopdo Update

The outfits for this week's set of Halloween costumes are some rather cute fairy themed looks. I went with a few similar images: lively, girly and psychedelic and tried to create fairy inspired looks based off the items in the game.  Each outfit features a different colour scheme and I went with dresses and skirts as they felt quite enchanted like. I thought fairies would be a cute costume to end my Halloween series on and I'll be back next year with another round of Halloween Shopdo Updates! 100 Outfit Challenge Day 98: Glam/Flirty

You all knew it was coming so here is my glam/flirty themed outfit! It's the final style of the challenge and my personal favourite to create in my challenges. It's fun to find the old Miss Ribbon items within the current brands and piece them together. I do have a guide book now that contains all the original items within the glam brand so it's easier to figure them out. I will be posting a glam guide thing later on that details each item from the brand. Anyway please enjoy my lovely lilac glam outfit! I'm sure I've posted a similar outfit to this previously as the glam items tend to cycle around after a while because there is only so many of them.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 87: Hat

Do you ever have a certain clothing item that you always wear like 80% of the time? Well I feel that's me with this style of hat in the Style Boutique games. I just always go back to them as these berets are too cute and go well with so many outfits. I tried to use items in the rest of the outfit that I normally don't use. This dress matches well with the purple shades of the beret and I added some purple toned accessories for the final touch. These patterned dresses are kinda cute and I should definitely try using them more!

Shopdo Update

This week's selection of outfits are a colourful and fun bunch to match the lively look of my current boutique. The first outfit is a lovely pastel toned lively themed outfit featuring a camisole, skirt and some slip-on shoes. I quite like this camisole from April Bonbon and it's colour scheme. The second outfit is a psychedelic look made from some new items to the Retrobeat brand. I think these dresses are quite a unique design and it's nice to see items such as this in the game. Lastly we have another lively outfit which completely turned out all red! I really wanted to use this rose patterned bodice in the outfit and just picked a bunch of random red toned items to go with it. I quite like the final product and it's super adorable! Shopdo Update

I'm back with a new set of outfits for the Shopdo Update and all three outfits match to the lively boutique thing I've currently got going on. First off is a girly styled outfit featuring items from April Bonbon. Sometimes I like to do this thing where you pick a style but choose items not from the main style brand. I think there's a few challenges around you can do centred around this concept. I had to pick some shoes from Marzipan Sky though as there wasn't any girly styled shoes from April Bonbon. Second outfit is a lively one which kinda reminds me of Alina's outfits from the story line. I went with an all purple colour scheme for this and I swear this isn't the first time I've paired this polka dot tee with this overalls set. Last but not least is a sporty inspired outfit which whilst not as colourful as the other two outfits, it's still a fun outfit. 100 Outfit Challenge Day 77: Lively

This 100 Outfit Challenge has gone on so long that I thought I had already done a Lively themed day. Anyway here is my over the top lively outfit which is a mix of items from April Bonbon. The thing I like about creating lively outfits is that you can just chuck a bunch of things together and it works out. The fluro or neon items are always a good bet and that's what I went with for this look. April Bonbon is the only brand I tend to use vests from as they have the best selection. It was nice to go back to this cat skirt and paint splatter style socks as I used to love them in Fashion Forward but haven't used them a super lot in Styling Star.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 73: Crazy Socks

Since playing Styling Star, I've been super into using socks in my outfits. I don't think I focused too much on socks in previous Style Boutique games, but I've definitely made socks a focal point in my outfits in the recent game instalment. Today is all about crazy socks and of course I went with an outfit from April Bonbon as that brand is home to crazy socks! I'm loving this pink and yellow outfit and the first photo is just perfection! There's some hints of purple in the t-shirt and some accessories from Purple Moon to bring in a little extra touch.

Shopdo Update - Bright Boutique

Since it is now the start of Spring, I thought a fun bright themed boutique would be a nice update for my Shopdo. This week's outfits are a bunch of lively and psychedelic looks in a range of colours. First off is this rather pink outfit featuring items from the lively style. These pants used to be my go-to lively item back in Fashion Forward. I feel like it's been ages since I last used them so I chucked them into this outfit. Second outfit is a psychedelic outfit with the perfect name! I thought these items looked really nice together but they don't normally go together. So I called this look Out Of Style to go with the outfit. The third outfit is a fun more cute looking lively outfit and it's more suitable for parties or nights out. Here is a snapshot of my new bright coloured boutique to accompany the new outfits. I tried using a few items I thought contained a number of colours to them and were lively looking. There is quite a selection of coloured shelves which is nice as the circle style ones fit well against walls or back up against each other.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 62: Kitty Cat

Why is it that we always end up doing a cat inspired look with Style Boutique challenges? I guess it's these super adorable ears from Purple Moon. For my kitty cat inspired outfit, I went with a sporty lively look as I recall this outer originally from Streetflow having a cat motif on it. Another black and pink outfit to match yesterdays look but a bit more fun today. I used a few items from Purple Moon in the final look and this is probably the first time ever I've used this bumblebee/ladybug inner. I've never used it because I've never had a need to past making guides but it works great with this outer.

Shopdo Update

Straight into this week's Shopdo Update with a Chic outfit with a rock theme. I titled this one paparazzi as I thought it was quite appropriate for this superstar look. Second is a rock outfit in some bright purple tones which I honestly think Stage Dive has some great purple items that always look good. The final outfit is a lively themed outfit that leans a little towards the rock style. I went with red and black as April Bonbon has some excellent pieces in these colours. It's cute yet edgy! 100 Outfit Challenge Day 52: Overalls & Dungarees

A pretty easy theme for today which is centred around overalls and dungarees. Years ago when I played the earlier Style Boutique games, I never ever used the overalls and such. I hated the way they looked and avoided them. It's only really been in Styling Star that I've made use of the items and come to love them. The lively style ones are the ones I use the most and find the easiest to work into outfits. There was some great new designs added in Styling Star even with other brands. I went with a lively look today and was inspired by a look I did for my Style Boutique Series Outfit Comparisions Post. Personally I cannot think of the last time I wore overalls or anything like that, probably when I was a kid. I do own quite a few patterns that have overalls in them so I'm interested in making a pair one day.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 51: Pokemon

I've gone with an actual cosplay for day 51 as I thought I'd throw in a few cosplay inspired days. Today is about that silly Pokemon Quagsire! Now I'm not  much of a Pokemon fan, but I have a Pokemon card of this guy up on my pinboard as it's just the cutest little thing.

The outfit I made for Quagsire is quite similar to the outfit I did for the artist theme. That wasn't originally planned as I did all the outfits in a mixed up order and I guess I just love using this outer and wanted another excuse! It's the best match to Quagsire's body shape and I used a different blue coloured beret to give the circle shape to the head. These socks are another love of mine and I've been using them quite a lot recently. They work really well with multiple styles and they remind me so much of the old glam style. The third pic I tried to use a different facial expression as I thought it would be fun for the cosplay. I tend to not go past the first 15 or so facial expression when taking photos, does anyone else do that? I just like the ones near the start the most and never venture too far from those.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 39: Pink

The theme for today is my number one favourite colour of all time, pink! My pink Colour Outfits Collection was the very first one I did in the series back in January last year. I've done so many other colours since then and here we are back at the colour pink. I decided to go with a cute Princess Peach inspired look using her amiibo t-shirt design. it's a mixture of a few styles: lively, girly and feminine. This particular shade of pink is one of my favourite shades as it reminds me of the Barbie pink. That certain pink tone is something I've always loved as 1990's pink box Barbie's are the main ones I collect and love. For the photoshoot, I went with the cute pink boutique interior I had up a while back.

Shopdo Update

Super quick Shopdo Update and I've kept the boutique interior for another week as I couldn't think of a new design for an update. The outfits are pretty simple this week as I just picked three outfits from my scrapbook as I didn't have much time to pick new ones. These are some favourite looks of mine from Styling Star and they have appeared a few times in Shopdo Updates as well in challenges and lookbooks. First off is a baby-doll look with a more casual appeal rather than a over-the-top coordinate. Love this shade of pink and combination of the patterns on the vest and skirt. Second is a lively look featuring more pink tones! It's all about the pink these week and this was a look I did ages ago for a challenge and liked it so much I saved it to my scrapbook.
