One Item Challenge - ARIANNA

Since I completed my Colour Outfits Collection for Style Boutique 3: Styling Star, it is the perfect time to work on my One Item Challenge. Sometimes this challenge can be quite difficult as one item from a particular brand will work with all the images in the game. However it is fun to try and make an outfit work with what you've got. This time round I've chosen the elegant bag brand ARIANNA! I tried to select an item that wasn't too flashy and would fit well with the games brands. I decided on this Smart Satchel in this brown and white tone as you can find those colours in all the brands.

Here is the chic outfit for the challenge and this is the main theme for this item. Tried to go for something I normally wouldn't choose so I made up this career woman look. These jumper tees are quite interesting from Enid Chic, I've seen this style in real life but they just look too uncomfortable for me to wear for more than 5 minutes. They totally work in the game though! I paired it with these printed shorts and heeled boots. The best thing about this top was that I could pair a necklace with it! Sometimes necklaces are useless in certain outfits as the tops have patterns on them that hides the look of the necklace but it looks lovely here.

Onto the remaining looks now and I would vote my top outfits as preppy, gothic, basic and Purple Moon. I love the dark tones in the preppy outfit and I think the fitted skirt was a great idea as it gives the outfit a more sleek look. I like pleated skirts but I feel fitted was what this outfit needed. Gothic worked out amazing and it actually look a few tries before I got to this one! I wanted to use items I haven't used much so I had to search around for items that matched this outer and skirt. The basic outfit was a surprise to me as it turned out so good! I even forgot it was the basic style when going through the screenshots! It could be mistaken for the girly image and I kept thinking it was that. Now for the psychedelic look, I actually like the outfit and think it doesn't even match the bag now that I'm looking back on it! Guess the design isn't weird enough for the Retrobeat groove. Purple Moon is a cute look that I just knew I was going to do when that sailor shirt kept popping up with every other brand search.

Overall I think all the outfits turned out decent and the only duds in my opinion where lively and boho-chic. I guess those styles don't match the elegant look of the bag and I just couldn't find any items that went well with it. I was pleasantly surprise at how good the sporty outfit turned out! Like it's not something you would normally wear but it looks presentable. No clue why I paired a big puffy winter jacket with a short skirt, that's a questionable choice.

One Item Challenge - Enid Chen

Picking back up my One Item Challenge series for Style Boutique: Styling Star! I searched back through my old posts to find a brand that I hadn't done yet and Enid Chen was on the list. So I decided to go with a versatile item for the challenge. It had to be something that works with a variety of styles and can be used with different items. I went with this luxe bandeau in a simple black tone as I knew every brand has something to match it. Plus strapless tops allow the use of lovely accessories like necklaces!

I had fun creating all these outfits as it has been forever since I did this challenge or even really played Style Boutique this much. Honestly I love all the outfits which I think is just due to me not seeing everything for such a long time. First up is the chic themed outfit to match the image of the item and I tried to go some contrasting colours for this look. White and black always look elegant together and that was my inspiration for this outfit. Had to chuck in my favourite glasses from Enid Chen of course because they are perfect!

Who knew this luxe bandeau would work so well in all the images in Style Boutique? I had no trouble at all thinking of outfit combinations and made all of these up pretty quick. I tried to focus on using items I hadn't use much in the past as I want to try to start making more outfits outside my comfort zone. I noticed many items still have the 'new' mark on them, like how on earth have I not used some items? There's just a wealth of them in the game! All these outfits are amazing but if I had to pick a top three I would choose Purple Moon, Glam/Flirty and Gothic. I enjoyed how lovely these three in particular turned out and I can't get over how the glam one looks kind of trash but totally works!

One Item Challenge - Stage Dive

It has been forever since I last posted a Style Boutique post. This one took a while to get up as Blogger has moved to a new format and it took me ages to figure out how to upload photos. Still can't work it out properly just yet but I managed to get all the photos for this One Item Challenge up! This time it's a challenge for the brand Stage Dive and I decided to use one of my top items from the brand which is one of the new Big Check Jacket. Huge fan of this peplum style jacket and I've got a few in real life now! I tried to use an item that would look nice with other styles since the rock image is the opposite of some styles in the game such as girly or boho-chic.

First off here is the rock themed outfit featuring the  jacket with other Stage Dive branded items. Purple is one of the nicer colours the brand uses in my opinion and there a some great items that match it perfectly. I went with one of the stage themed photo locations for the photoshoot as it's the ideal spot for the Stage Dive brand!

There are a few favourites from this One Item Challenge and my top picks would be gothic, sporty and basic. I quite liked the gothic outfit as it looked rather well put together and the jacket matches well with gothic themed items. Haven't used this skirt or inner for age (or even ever!) so it was nice to try something new and I didn't want to do the pannier skirt look as I've done that enough with gothic outfits. The sporty and basic outfits were a favourite as I liked how simple they looked and the shoes turned out super cute. The jacket brings a pop of pattern to the outfit and you can't go wrong with a bit of purple in an outfit. Honorable mention to the craziness of the psychedelic outfit! I love it and it's just all over the place but still stylish.

One Item Challenge - April Bonbon

Adding another One Item set to the challenge roster and this post is all about the Frilly Tiered Shorts from April Bonbon! I decided on using these shorts as I thought they were pretty versatile and the pattern was quite subtle for use with different images. April Bonbon is known for it's bright colours and patterns, I wanted to try to find an item that was a bit softer and a neutral kinda tone that would work with opposite styles to lively such as gothic or chic.

First off, I love the background of these outfit photos. The gorgeous blue toned interior of my current boutique look matches these shorts perfectly! I started off the challenge with the standard style of the shorts which is lively and this outfit is a cute lively look. It could also pass for glam as the camisole I used originally belonged to the glam/flirty brand (which you can find out in my latest Style Boutique post here!)

My top three outfits for this One Item Challenge would be girly, chic and feminine. All very similar styles and I went for a summer look for each style. I love the girly look as it's super casual and incorporates some floral elements. Can't believe I held off using camisoles until this game, they work so well with so many outfits! The chic and feminine outfits are similar in appearance and doesn't my character look so tall in the chic outfit? Of course I had to sneak my favourite chic glasses into this look and I used them because of the blue accents on the frames. The feminine look would be my top favourite as I love this styling and the white and blue tones compliment each other well. This outer from Chorale is still one of my top new items to Styling Star and I'm actually going to sew a similar looking design for myself next year. Should be interesting to see how it turns out because I'd love to try to modify the pattern to replicate the jacket from the game. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the gothic outfit turned out as I thought I would struggle with this style. Ended up finding these top in the same colour so I built the outfit around that.

One Item Challenge - Brooke Bridge

After what seems like an eternity, I finally had some time to sit down and play Styling Star. Thought I'd do another one item challenge as they are always fun and gives me a chance to experiment with clothing items I wouldn't normally use. I actually did this over the course of a few sessions so I kept forgetting what outfits I had previously made with other images. I think this helped create more unique looks as each style shines and all the outfits the look my character tends to go for in the game. This time round is a Brooke Bridge item which is the High Waist Miniskirt. A personal favourite of mine from the brand and my go to skirt for preppy outfits.

My top looks of this one item challenge would be would be girly, glam and psychedelic. I'm in love with the psychedelic look and feel this would look really cute in real life. The baby-doll outfit almost made it into the favourites as it is well put together but I'm not 100% sold on it compared to the others I like. I think the skirt worked out perfectly for the outfits as it's pretty versatile with a variety of styles and has a neutral colour. Here are all the outfits for this challenge starting off with the skirts main style - Preppy.

One Item Challenge - Purple Moon

Time for another One Item Challenge and I've gone with Purple Moon this time round. I went with a pretty basic item from the brand as I wanted something verstitle to work with. I used the WARS T-Shirt which is an item you get from Alina during the main story line. It's just a basic black tee with the WARS logo on it. I thought it would work well with different styles and colours. Sporty, feminine and psychedelic would be my top outfits from this challenge. I was surprised that the feminine otufit turned out so nicely considering the T-shirt isn't what you'd usually find under the style. Sporty looks cool as usual and I loved the colour combinations and prints in the psychedelic outfit.

One Item Challenge - AZ-USA

Readers to my blog will recognise the item I am using in this One Item Challenge. That's right, it's my favourite new skirt to the AZ-USA brand! I fell in love with this skirt the moment I found it in the game. I'm always using it in glam/flirty style outfits and love that it comes in different colour tones.

This challenge will begin with the bold outfit of course. Just a classic bold look for the challenge featuring some of my top items from AZ-USA such as the floral print inner and vibrant purple jacket. I decided to do my characters hair like Callie's from Fashion Forward as she is the true queen of the bold style.

Onto the rest of the outfits for the challenge. I think about half turned out great and the other half alright. The boldness of the skirt (especially the metallic tone) doesn't match soft styles like baby-doll and feminine. My favourites from this challenge would be basic and psychedelic. I quite like the basic outfit because I think the bold image of the skirt brings a new feel to the basic look of the other items. Psychedelic is another great outfit because it's so over the top and exploding with colours.

One Item Challenge - Kanokoi

This One Item Challenge will be fun as it features one of my favourite items from the Kanokoi brand which is the Floral Qipao Tunic in the pink and purple tones. And I was surprised at how well the inner worked with so many different styles!

Let's start with the eastern look as it is the main style of the Kanokoi brand. This outfit is one that I've used a few times before as it's one of my go to outfits for the brand. Love these new long skirts with the geometric pattern in neon colour tones. I think this is one of the best new items in the game because of its unique look and design.

Now onto the rest of the outfits starting off with the preppy look. I actually thought this was another eastern outfit for a moment because these pants remind me of some from Kanokoi. This would be one of my favourites from the challenge along with feminine and psychedelic. The high collar of the inner worked perfectly with the elegant look of the Chorale items. The deep tones of the skirt and shoes bring out the purple accents in the top. Now psychedelic is one of my top outfits in Styling Star! I was so pleased with how it turned out and I was wearing it a while back on my Shopdo. The outfit is so quirky and cute and the beret is a nice finishing touch.

One Item Challenge - Chorale

I love these One Item Challenges that I have been doing in Styling Star. It's fun to try to make outfits from items that usually wouldn't fit into opposite images. This time we will be doing a challenge using one of my favourite new outers from the Chorale brand. The item is the Frilly Collarless Jacket in the light blue colour.

First off here is the feminine outfit for the item. These jumpsuits are another new item to Styling Star that I adore. When I first saw them, I was instantly obsessed. I usually don't use the jumpsuit style items in game but these ones have the perfect fit and look stunning in the pastel tones.

Here are the rest of the looks for the One Item Challenge. My personal favourites would be glam, preppy and eastern. Preppy is the number one look for me out of the bunch. It just turned out so amazing! Love the mix of the light and dark shades of blue and the pleated check skirt. Think I'll have to try this look out again in the future. Glam is another fave due to the vibrant print of the dress and with eastern, I thought the jacket made the outfit look a bit more sophisticated and gave a nice feminine touch to the eastern inspired look.
