The Nintendo Switch is finally home to a fashion and modelling simulator game called MODEL debut #nicola. The game has three installments on the Nintendo Switch console and was previously featured on the 3DS as well. MODEL debut #nicola is made in collaboration with the nicola magazine in Japan and allows players to take on the job as a model for the magazine.
The first two games in the MODEL Debut #nicola series were exclusive to Japan and are only available in Japanese. Originally the third installment MODEL Debut3 #nicola was only released in Japan and it was then announced for an English release in October 2024. It is available in a physical game case in Japan however the English version is only available via the eShop. A fourth game in the series was released in November 2025 and is available on the eShop in English and in a physical case in Japan.
This page is a collection of all the posts I have made about the second, third and fourth games in the MODEL debut #nicola series. These series are ongoing and will be regularly updated as I am currently playing through all the games. Hi, they just announced MODEL Debut3 English release. They have a code section on the main menu, do you know what this is and where to find codes? There's nothing coming up. :( Thank you for your dedication to making these guides!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see the game announced for English release!! The code section is for passwords to unlock certain items however I do not know any current codes for the new game. There are ones for the original Japanese version of that you need a Japanese keyboard to input.
DeleteIs the original you're talking about for the MODEL Debut3 Japanese version or the previous games? Could you do a page for that and the items available through the codes? I'm hoping they will release the codes in English like they did in the 3DS game.
DeleteThe codes are for MODEL Debut2 which is Japan only and even some of those were limited to certain physical publications. I haven't seen codes for MODEL Debut3 however I believe if ones do exist, they were for the Japanese game and were probably in the Nicola magazine.
DeleteDon't worry about missing out as the game has only just came out and more content might be announced in the future :) Please do not stress getting caught on with missing out on game content and enjoy playing this amazing game

ReplyDeleteI knew of the game, but had forgotten about it…bunches of times, it feels like. I know, I’m truly late to all of this—it’s just that life got in the way in an awful way, and I had no time for anything, really. Finally life eased up some, and I started thinking about the game again, and then realized I could buy it from a Japanese reseller—so I excitedly picked up Nicola 3 from Japan and was using Google Translate to play with not much trouble at all after seeing a couple of screenshots, and then had a really embarrassed moment where I realized that research is a thing, and that I could have simply purchased the English version through the eShop—I have no idea why that never occurred to me! So I bought that one as well. To be honest I’m very happy to have a physical copy. Even though the game was a bit older, again it never occurred to me that perhaps Nicola 4 was out there and waiting? When did the concept of researching just exit my consciousness?
So I grabbed that too. I’d gotten a switch 2 for my birthday and both were and are the perfect games to play as celebration/relaxation after a few sad years. Right now I’m playing both! I am such a fan! I honestly love seeing some of the fashions…which sometimes look quite similar to my SS favorites scattered here and there! and although I know some do not like the gameplay loop, I’m truly having the best time with all of it.
I love that I have to stat raise to make friends, that I can finally romance, getting to know the other models, and the ins and outs of taking the perfect photo for inclusion in Nicola.
This is the first post I’ve read and I know I’m many years late, but I really hope that you had fun with this game, as I’m many hours in, and still loving the gameplay loop. I’m quite proud of some of my layout designs!
