The last review in my CLC Japanese collection is finally here and it's a cute one. Today we'll be looking at Type B of the group's first Japanese mini album High Heels. Let's get straight into it with the adorable front cover with a lovely photo of the group!
High Heels is CLC's 1st Japanese mini album High Heels is CLC's first Japanese mini album and it was released in April 2016 through Tower Records Japan. The mini album comes in two editions: Type A CD Only and Type B CD+DVD. I got both editions through the Tower Records online store when they were on sale once. The Type A editions includes the following contents:

Between the two versions of High Heels, this one is my favourite as I love the cute casual concept. The front cover has a photo of the group members in short white skirts and striped jumpers. Cute concepts are one of my favourites in music so I'm happy with the styling of this version. The back cover features another photo of the girls in different poses along with the tracking listing for both the CD and DVD. Credit and production information is listed in the bottom left corner.
Another great CD design from CLC with Type B! This version has a patterned background with pink and blue stripes across the top along with the mini album title. The tiny heart bows on the title letters are just too adorable! The group logo is printed on the bottom half of the CD along with the track listing. The DVD disc shares a similar design with a different coloured background. The space behind the CD/DVD holder is just a background which is much nicer than a repeat photo like Type A had.
Last year I posted reviews of CLC's second Japanese mini album チャミスマ Chamisma and after nearly a year, it's time for the follow up review of their first Japanese mini album High Heels. I love the group's Japanese releases and have all five of them. Yep there's only five and I wish there was more. Like the group had no more Japanese promotions after チャミスマ Chamisma and I guess the change in concept was maybe linked to that. But it is Cube after all, so who knows. Let's take a look at Type A of High Heels!

The concept for Type A of High Heels is a cute and innocent look. Reminds of me of classic early CLC looks and concepts. The front cover has a group photo of the members looking stunning and the back cover has a simple design. Not as colourful and fun as the チャミスマ Chamisma singles but it matches the feel of the mini album perfectly. チャミスマ Chamisma is more lively where as this one is more casual. The back cover contains the track listing, the logo and some production credits information.
Another beautifully designed CD from CLC just like their other Japanese releases. I love these pastel toned designs on CD releases as I'm really into pastel aesthetics nowadays. One thing I don't like about this mini album design is that the photo from the front cover is re-used as the photo underneath the CD case. Like why? It's just lazy and I would've preferred a blank or coloured background instead of a repeat. OBI strip is perfect as usual!
Onto the lyrics booklet now and CLC honestly has some of the best lyrics booklet's for J-Pop releases. The booklets always have lovely photos and it's just not boring text on every page. Each member gets an individual photo and there's a large group photo at the beginning of the booklet. Lyrics for each song are included along with more production credit information.
Now for a review of the songs! High Heels is basically a compilation of Japanese versions of the group's Korean title tracks and one English cover. The mini album is a nice debut for the group in Japan as it has songs fans are familiar with and a lot of Korean groups tend to do this for their debut Japanese releases. My favourite track on this release is 'I Should Be So Lucky' which is an English cover of a famous 80's pop song from Kylie Minogue. Kylie is huge here in Australia and I know that this particular song is quite popular in Japan. E-girls often sung it at their concerts and a number of Kylie's songs were covered by Japanese artists in the 80's and 90's. I wish the mini album had a Japanese version of 'Yaya (Say Bye To Solo)' as that is one of my favourite CLC songs and my favourite track on their 3rd Mini Album which the original Korean version of High Heels comes from. Type A of High Heels contains the following track list:

Both editions of High Heels do not include photocards and they were introduced for チャミスマ Chamisma. Maybe there was exclusive photocards sold in store or at events, I'm not entirely sure as I've never seen any. Here are both editions of High Heels together and Type B has my favourite concept out of the two. High Heels currently isn't available for purchase via the Tower Records online store however you can still purchase in-store. I was so happy to get hold of these and all the editions of チャミスマ Chamisma as I'm quite a fan of the Japanese releases from the group. Sometimes Tower Record exclusive releases can be a pain to get, but luckily there was a sale on right at the moment when I was making an order through Zenmarket. チャミスマ Chamisma is CLC's second Japanese mini album and was released in 2016 through Tower Records Japan. The mini album is available in three editions: Type A CD Only, Type B CD+DVD and Type C CD+DVD. I brought the Type C edition through Tower Records when it was on sale once along with Type A. The Type C edition includes the following contents:

The concept for the Type C edition is a nautical sailor concept. The girls are wearing cute sailor dresses along with matching hats. Both the front and back covers have a group photo with the front cover having a fun energetic pose. The back cover lists the contents of the CD and DVD along with production information about the mini album.
Inside you will find the lyrics booklet along with the CD and DVD. The discs have the same design as the other two editions which I love as I'm all for cohesiveness with releases. The CD has the blue tone to match the cover and the DVD has a cute pink tone which kinda matches the groups logo. The emblem which is featured on the girls sailor hats is used as the background behind the disc holder.
Last week I posted a review of the Type A edition of CLC's Japanese release チャミスマ Chamisma, so this week it's time for another edition of the mini album. Next up for review is Type B of チャミスマ Chamisma and carries on the cheerleader concept from Type A. Let's take a look shall we?

チャミスマ Chamisma is CLC's second Japanese mini album and was released in 2016 through Tower Records Japan. The mini album is available in three editions: Type A CD Only, Type B CD+DVD and Type C CD+DVD. I got my copy of Type B from a private seller on Yahoo Auctions and I was surprised to see a photocard included with it. The original listing didn't have it included so it was great to get that as a little bonus. The mini album was in great condition for a used CD and the price was reasonable compared to buying it new. Type B of チャミスマ Chamisma includes the following contents:

The cover of Type B has the girls in new cheerleader inspired outfits and this time it's varsity style ones. I want one of these jackets as they look super cute and I adore the little kitty logo. I think out of the three editions, this one is my favourite concept wise and has the best pose on the cover. Plus the back cover looks great as it shows off the back of the varsity jacket with the words Crystal Clear. Your typical production credits are listed on the back as well as the track listing for both the CD and DVD.
Inside the jewel case you will find the CD and DVD which have a similar look to the CD of Type A. I love when Japanese releases have consistency to them as it looks aesthetically pleasing when you group them all together. The gold pom poms are present on the jewel case interior and pastel tones are used for the discs. Got an OBI strip once again so I'm happy because I love them so much.
A big milestone in my J-Pop collecting saga was recently finally completing my CLC Japanese discography. The Korean group has released two mini albums in Japan both with multiple versions. I thought first we'd look at their second Japanese mini album チャミスマ Chamisma as it was the release that got me interested in collecting their Japanese discography in the first place. This review will look at the Type A CD Only Edition of チャミスマ Chamisma released exclusively through Tower Records Japan.

The mini album is exclusively available through Tower Records in Japan and wasn't released through any other Japanese stores. I brought Type A of the mini album from Bookoff via Zenmarket and the CD was in great condition. I've always gotten excellent items from Bookoff which are always in top condition. Each edition of チャミスマ Chamisma has a different concept and Type A has this adorable gingham cheerleader concept. The front cover has the girls in a cheerleader pose with pom poms and the super adorable CLC logo. Honestly the group has one of the best logos in K-Pop as it's a cute kitty! The back cover contains another photo of the girls along with the track listing and production information which is standard to Japanese releases. I loved seeing a photo of the group on the back and not just a boring plain colour or backdrop.
Inside the jewel case, you'll find the adorable gingham print featured on the girls outfits behind the CD. When I first got this mini album, I was in love with the design! All the little details are amazing such as the colour scheme, hints of the cheerleader concept and the fonts used. The CD has a simple look with some logos and the mini album title.
Even though I got these items from YesAsia and Zenmarket a while ago, I hadn't share them on here as of yet. Thought I would post about them before I started doing reviews of them. First off is the YesAsia one which is all k-pop releases. The main reason for this order was to get Hong Jin Young's new album as I always collect her releases. I also picked up a MOMOLAND mini album I was missing and myB's second single.
I greatly enjoyed Hong Jin Young's previous physical release from years earlier so I excited to see her release a full album Lots Of Love. It has a few repeat tracks that were already on her previous release but you get plently of new songs. The album has a beautiful aethestic to it and a top notch photobook with different concept photos.

Originally I was planning on getting MOMOLAND's recent mini album Show Me when I was making this order which was back when it was announced for pre-orders and so was Hong Jin Young's. When I'm So Hot came out, I just wasn't too into it and didn't really enjoy the other songs on the mini album so I passed on ordering it. I decided to get their 2nd Mini album Freeze! which I hadn't yet brought. This mini album is amazing and I love the songs on it. Pulled another Ahin photocard which was great as I always try to get her photocards now as I seem to have a collection of hers.
A random item here which is totally nugu group myB's second single 또또 DDODDO which came out in 2015. I was super into myB when they were a thing but never picked up their physical singles. This single is super adorable and very colourful which I like. It's quite thin and the CD sits in this weird fold part at the back which causes it to get scratched super easy. Other than that, I really like this single album. No photocard came with it unfortunately but you get some great photos in the photobook.
How on earth did we get to the end of March so quick? I was filling in some forms the other day and asked someone for the date which was the 28th. We were both shocked at how it was the 28th of the month already! Anyway here is my monthly favourites for March! Gaming Haven't played my 3DS for a while as I've kinda been burnt out on Style Boutique recently and not as passionate about playing it. Maybe a break will help and I'll get back into the game again. I'm just so let down by the post-main story line content as I literally cannot work at my boutique anymore as the only customers I ever get are the side story girls like Molly. Doesn't matter how far ahead I go int he game or how many times I complete their story lines, they are the only ones that ever appear. So frustrating and it has really put me off the game. My workmate got me into Animal Crossing Pocket Camp recently and I've been playing it here and there. It's so adorable and the graphics are stunning. I don't take it too seriously and only really fulfil requests and catch stuff. The current event with growing flowers for Katie is quite cute and I've been enjoying that.
Music Big month music wise as I have two packages on the way and received one order from Zenmarket this month. I'm waiting for Dream Ami's new Japanese single Good Goodbye and E-girls Celebration from CDJapan. This will be my first time trying out the site and I got a poster with the Dream Ami single so I'm excited to see it when it arrives. Also on the way should be Hong Jin Young's new album, MOMOLAND's 2nd Mini Album Freeze and myB's DdoDdo single. Waiting for the later one to come into stock on YesAsia so hopefully it ships soon. I did get some exciting releases from Zenmarket which I must post about. I finally completed my Japanese CLC collection which is great as it's something I've wanted for years. Song wise I've been listening to quite a few tracks. MOMOLAND released a new song both in Korean and Japanese in recent weeks. Personally I hated the Korean one and much prefer the Japanese one. I held off getting the new Korean mini album for now and will just get one of the Japanese versions. I wasn't too interested in the other tracks on the mini album so I decided to buy Freeze instead which I was missing from my collection.
So I brought a few things off Zenmarket recently. Well more than a few actually. I swear this site will drown me in CD's eventually. Managed to tick a large number of releases off my wishlist with this order. All these items came from Yahoo Auctions, Bookoff and Tower Records. Some are brand new and others are used. Here's all the CD's I brought in this order which boy was an effort to ship here. Never going to ship this many CD's ever again as the shipping wasn't the cheapest thing. It always reminds me of that joke from the Australia episode of the Simpsons where the guy goes '900 Hundred dollary doos?!?' That's my thought whenever I see shipping costs to Australia haha. There was so many CD's I had trouble trying to get them all into frame. But I did save a lot of money buying these CD's as some were quite rare and expensive when they first came out. I'll list all the titles in later paragraphs because the list is quite long.
First off is the albums from KARA who I'm trying to complete my collection of. These are all new additions to my collection apart from The First Bloooooming which I already own. Finally got my hands on the Type B of Fantastic Girls which was something I was after last year. And got a copy of the Japan Tour Special Edition of Super Girl which I didn't have! It doesn't have a super amount of new content compared to the first editions of the album but the cover is pink! Here's the list of the KARA albums:

Next is the KARA singles because they wouldn't all fit in the same photo as the albums. I've always loved the single designs of KARA's Japanese singles and I quite like how they are all standard jewel case releases so I can store them all together. Electric Boy would have to be my favourite design out of the bunch. A few doubles here with the singles which I'll just sell for cheap. I already got three of these last year off Zenmarket. A nice surprised was from the seller I brought the next set from included Ji Young's version of French Kiss which I wasn't expecting. I was over the moon to see if included with the set as I was planning on collecting it and it was brand new too. Here's the list of the KARA singles:
