CLC チャミスマ Chamisma - Mini Album Review (Type C CD+DVD Edition)

Time to look at another edition of CLC's チャミスマ Chamisma mini album as it's been too long since the review of the last edition. I've previously reviewed the Type A CD Only and Type B CD+DVD editions so be sure to check those out as I cover most information about the mini album in those.

チャミスマ Chamisma Type C CD+DVD Edition
チャミスマ Chamisma is CLC's second Japanese mini album and was released in 2016 through Tower Records Japan. The mini album is available in three editions: Type A CD Only, Type B CD+DVD and Type C CD+DVD. I brought the Type C edition through Tower Records when it was on sale once along with Type A. The Type C edition includes the following contents:
  • CD - 5 track mini album
  • DVD - Contains the group's 1st Japanese Showcase 'First Step'
  • Lyrics booklet
  • Jewel case
  • OBI Strip
  • Photocard (7 types to collect)

The concept for the Type C edition is a nautical sailor concept. The girls are wearing cute sailor dresses along with matching hats. Both the front and back covers have a group photo with the front cover having a fun energetic pose. The back cover lists the contents of the CD and DVD along with production information about the mini album.

Inside you will find the lyrics booklet along with the CD and DVD. The discs have the same design as the other two editions which I love as I'm all for cohesiveness with releases. The CD has the blue tone to match the cover and the DVD has a cute pink tone which kinda matches the groups logo. The emblem which is featured on the girls sailor hats is used as the background behind the disc holder.

With Type C, you get a beautiful blue toned OBI strip containing information about the DVD and other production/promotional stuff. All the OBI strips of チャミスマ Chamisma are lovely and look great all stacked together. That's one thing I love about this mini album is the way the editions fit together and each concept matches the feel of the mini album.

Perfect lyrics booklet from CLC once again which includes a lovely selection of photos of the girls. Just like the other two editions, you get photos of each member and a group shoot. The last few pages of the booklet have photos from their Japan Showcase and I absoustely love the pink outfits they have on in the photos. That style of skirt is right up my alley! Credits and production stuff is listed in the booklet as well.

I've reviewed the songs on the チャミスマ Chamisma mini album in the two previous reviews, so I won't go over those again. The Type C edition has the same track listing as Type B except track 6 チャミスマ Chamisma (Feat. Ill Hoon of BTOB) has been omitted. Instead we will talk about the DVD you get in Type C which is CLC's 1st Showcase in Japan titled 'First Step'. Only 6 members are present for the showcase as Eunbin didn't participate in it due to Cube wanting to introduce her through a Korean comeback first. The showcase is pretty short with some performances and talking segments. The group performs High Heels a few times along with other Japanese versions of their Korean songs which were released on the group's 1st Japanese mini album High Heels.

Here is the track listing for the Type C edition of チャミスマ Chamisma:

CD Contents:
  1. チャミスマ Chamisma
  2. スキドキ Sukidoki
  3. Chocolate Spice
  4. 1, 2, 3 [Korean Ver.]
  5. 学園天国 Ganken Tengoku
DVD Contents:
  1. CLC 1st Showcase in Japan 'First Step'

Since I brought my copy of チャミスマ Chamisma brand new from Tower Records, it came with a photocard. I got Sorn's photocard for this edition which is super adorable! It's nice how each version had different photocards and is great for collectors. Their Japanese photocards are quite nice and match the concept of each edition.

And there is all three editions of チャミスマ Chamisma all done! Can't believe I managed to even pick up all the editions in such a short space of time. I listen to this mini album a lot and quite enjoy all the tracks. Shame CLC never released anything else in Japan and doesn't do the cute style concepts anymore as I really liked their Japanese releases. I shall be reviewing their 1st Japanese mini album High Heels next and I'll be posting reviews of both the Type A and Type B editions. Check out the MV for チャミスマ Chamisma below or listen to it on Spotify!
