Shopdo Update - January 2022

Took a short break after finishing the Basics Challenge and now I'm back with January's Shopdo Update. Packed away the Christmas decorations for another year and the boutique has a new stylish interior. I've gone for a wooden look for this month with cute displays around the shop. The wooden furniture always looks amazing in Style Boutique and I love how many items coordinate together. It's always such a pain when you find an item you want to use but then nothing else matches it.

Onto the outfits now and I kind of made these rather quick. I wasn't really in the mood to think up new outfits as I was quite stressed from a family emergency. So I decided to go with some classic looks from my outfit scrapbook. First up is this preppy ensemble that I love the colour combinations of! I cannot get over how well this top matches the skirt. Second is a favourite feminine look of mine. I keep this one in my scrapbook as it is one of the top feminine styled outfits I've made in the game and wanted to keep that memory. Last outfit is a new one that I don't really recall. I must've saved it from a challenge failure or something. It is quite elegant and a mixture of girly and feminine.

You can find all these outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update - December 2021

There is a new fancy boutique interior for this month's Shopdo Update! Since it is the festive season, I thought I would go with a Christmas themed look. Isn't is wonderful that the game has these gorgeous festive themed miniatures? More on the layout later as it's time to talk about the outfits. I wanted to go with some looks that were slightly holiday themed and at first I wanted a specific Christmas dress. But then I remembered that it was DLC item in Fashion Forward! That's why I couldn't find it in the new game :( Instead I went with a red themed Baby-Doll look which is kind of winter inspired. We don't have white Christmas season over here in Australia as it's more of a boiling hot season. This outfit reminded me of Christmas outfits I'd see in overseas media. The second look is a Purple Moon outfit as that's the ideal brand for costume looks. The last outfit I titled Christmas Movie as it reminded me of Christmas movies, like those Hallmark ones. I was in JB HiFi recently and they had a huge display of them! Someone probably had an outfit on like this in one of them.

You can find all these outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

The boutique has a new layout featuring some festive items and it isn't any too fancy. I just went with whatever Christmas themed items but kept it a bit classy. I could've decorated the entire back well in tinsel however it looked a bit tacky (as tinsel usually does). There wasn't an option to place many items around the tree as the game limited the spaces around it. I went with placing the presents on the counter to give it a bit of decoration.

Shopdo Update - January 2020

First Shopdo update for the new decade as well as the new year! Today marks the first day of 2020 and I'll be continuing on with my monthly Shopdo Updates as that schedule has been working out well for me in recent months. I've got a new elegant inspired boutique interior this month and three new outfits to share with you.

I decided to start off with a preppy outfit for my first outfit and I love the pairing of this inner and skirt. The plaid on the skirts matches the cute little tie on the shirt and it looks so classy. Originally I wanted to go with a brown toned outfit to match the other two looks but decided on this look as I like the overall look of it. Second outfit is a feminine outfit to match the new interior and I went with some items I knew went well together. Always used to pair this long sleeve inner with these high-waisted shorts in Fashion Forward. The final outfit is titled Girly Classic as it's a look I used to wear all the time in Fashion Forward and felt like bringing it back for the new year. I always had this thing for pairing these three quarter pants with this particular style of outer. You can find all three outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Time for the new boutique interior and I decided to go with something elegant and simple this time. The feminine style was the main inspiration and I tried to work with the lighter coloured furniture items. Originally I wanted to use the brick wallpaper that covers the entire three walls but I couldn't find the right counter to match it. I hate how you can't remove the counter as I'd rather not have one and it's a pain to match against other items.

Shopdo Update - Announcement & Blue Girly Boutique Interior

First off with a quick Shopdo Update announcement! From this week onwards, I will be doing monthly Shopdo Updates instead of weekly. With my work schedule, it's a challenge to update my Shopdo each week and with Christmas coming up, it's going to get a lot busier. I've enjoyed doing the weekly updates and coming up with a billion different outfits over the last few years. But it's time to slow down a bit and I will be uploading new outfits at the start of each month. Not sure if I'll change the boutique interior each month yet, depends on how much I like the interior style and outfit wise.

Now onto the outfits! I've given the boutique a new interior as I've packed away the Halloween interior for another year. This time I've gone for a girly themed boutique with a lovely blue colour scheme. All of the Shopdo outfits are themed around this colour scheme. First up is a feminine ensemble that is one of my favourite feminine looks in Styling Star. I love the cut of these new items to the Chorale brand, they look stunning in every colour. The second outfit is a elegant Baby-Doll coordinate as I really wanted to use this combo of the striped skirt and top. The green tie is a nice touch and brings a pop of colour to the blue scheme. The final outfit is a cute casual girly look which I tried to use items I was a fan of in Fashion Forward. I don't use these much nowadays but they always look great together as seen in this outfit. You can find all three outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Here is a look at the new girly inspired boutique interior and as you can tell from the pictures, the colour blue is the theme of this boutique. I based it off an old pink themed boutique I had in my Shopdo once and just swapped out the furniture items for the blue versions. I really miss the blue tall cupboard miniature that was in Fashion Forward, it would've looked stunning in this set-up!

Shopdo Update - Halloween Themed Boutique

Since October will soon be upon us, I thought I'd give the boutique a special Halloween make-over! For the month of October, I will be doing special Halloween themed outfits for my Shopdo updates since October is the spooky month. The first outfit for Halloween is your usual cheerleader ensemble which is just the basic cheerleader outfit from Purple Moon with some lively items added in. Perfect for your teen horror movie! The next outfit is a cute bunny themed coordinate in the baby-doll style. I love using this bunny ears from Purple Moon at Easter time for outfits, but why not add them in for Halloween as well? Final outfit is a elegant vampire inspired look once again featuring an item from Purple Moon. It really is the Halloween brand isn't it? I love this look as it is rather stylish yet mysterious. You can find all three outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Quick look at my Halloween themed boutique which has an elegant Gothic inspired interior. I decided on using a couch in the centre of the room as I rarely do that and it feels a bit more cosy. Of course I included a black cat as it's the quintessential Halloween animal. My character has a Halloween themed outfit on for the new look and this outfit is one of my usual get-ups I wear around Halloween time in the game. I really do miss the Halloween themed DLC items from Fashion Forward as they were perfect for this holiday!

Shopdo Update - Bright Boutique

Since it is now the start of Spring, I thought a fun bright themed boutique would be a nice update for my Shopdo. This week's outfits are a bunch of lively and psychedelic looks in a range of colours. First off is this rather pink outfit featuring items from the lively style. These pants used to be my go-to lively item back in Fashion Forward. I feel like it's been ages since I last used them so I chucked them into this outfit. Second outfit is a psychedelic outfit with the perfect name! I thought these items looked really nice together but they don't normally go together. So I called this look Out Of Style to go with the outfit. The third outfit is a fun more cute looking lively outfit and it's more suitable for parties or nights out. You can find all three outfits and the new boutique at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Here is a snapshot of my new bright coloured boutique to accompany the new outfits. I tried using a few items I thought contained a number of colours to them and were lively looking. There is quite a selection of coloured shelves which is nice as the circle style ones fit well against walls or back up against each other.

Shopdo Update - Rock Interior

Finally a new interior for my Shopdo is up this week! I remembered to change it as it's been a few weeks since the last boutique update. This time I've gone with a rock look as I feel it's been a while since I last did this style. The first outfit for this week's update is a rock look of course! Went with a pink, white and black themed outfit as I quite like the pink toned items from Stage Dive. Next is a psychedelic look as that style is kinda similar to rock. More like an elegant version with a hint of far out. Last but not least is a casual rock outfit because I feel I don't make enough rock outfits and needed an excuse. All these outfits and the new rock inspired interior can be found at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update - Woodwork Boutique Interior

Since it is a new month, I've switched over the boutique interior for my Shopdo. This time I've gone for a natural woodwork look with hints of green tones. A variety of outfits are available for download this week starting with a girly look. The name is inspired by my countdown to spring which I'm super looking forward to. The second outfit is a baby-doll outfit which I've used a few times on my Shopdo but with some slight changes. I went with the book style handbag this time for a new touch. The final outfit is a psychedelic get-up as I've been really into those looks recently. You can find all three of these outfits on my Shopdo at ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

For the new interior, I went with something simple and made use of the natural wood style furniture items. It's a mixture of girly and boho-chic which is quite a nice style in real life. I've been super into interior pins recently on pinterest and thought this look would make a nice Shopdo.

Shopdo Update - Pink Beauty Boutique

Switching the boutique interior up to a beautiful layout of pink tones with hints of blue for this weeks Shopdo Update. I had a lot of fun with the preppy interior and it was nice to create some different outfits for a little while. But I've decided to go back to the style I use the most in the series with this weeks update. Put together this cute pink themed boutique with a beautician twist but more on that later as it's time to look at the new outfits! First is a girly outfit of course as they are my favourite and this one features the biker jacket I've been quite fond of in recent months. This look is super casual but still a bit edgy and really makes me want this jacket in real life. The second look is a baby-doll outfit I just grabbed some my scrapbook. Pretty sure I've posted it a few times before on Shopdo because it's one of my favourites. Lastly is another similar looking outfit as I've posted many varieties of this look during the course of playing the game. I'm just in love with these outers and so glad the developers put them in the game. This outfit brings a little pop of colour to the other two pink themed outfits. You can find these adorable outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

I thought the make-up themed miniatures looked great in the space so I went with a small boutique mashup of clothing items and make-up. You occasionally see businesses like this around the city where I am, usually more in the trendy up-market suburbs. The overall look of the boutique isn't too crazy and I put this together quite quickly as I knew what exact miniatures to use once I had a theme.

Shopdo Update - New Preppy Boutique Interior

Decided to switch out the sweet themed boutique for a new style this week. Thought I'd go with preppy for something new and whilst it isn't my favourite interior style due to lack of matching items, I do love making preppy outfits. First off is a girly outfit styled around the preppy look and features items from a few brands (mainly Marzipan Sky). I used the same dress/tunic my character has on as I quite like this simple style of dress and it comes in various colours. The second outfit is a preppy outfit from the main preppy brand Brooke Bridge. Oh how I love navy and red together as it reminds me of the nautical style which I'm a huge fan of. The third outfit is another preppy look but a bit more unique. I just threw some stuff together and tried to work with blue and pink. Looks crazy but is still cute. You can get all three of these new outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

The boutique has a preppy feel to it this week and it put this together rather quickly. I never really used this style as I cannot find the perfect items for it. Drives me nuts how I couldn't match the timber on the counter perfectly to the other items in the room. I'm a huge fan of the book miniatures, they're so adorable and I need to use them more!

Shopdo Update - Sweet Shop Boutique

After what seems like a billion years, I finally have a new interior for Shopdo! I went with a candy/sweet shop inspired look this time and made some cute pastel themed outfits to match. All the outfits have sweet themed names just for fun too. First is this baby-doll outfit inspired by an outfit I recently posted in my Outfit Comparisons post. I changed up a few things in the outfit but it's still as cute as ever. Next is the girly outfit which is similar to some outfits I've posted on Shopdo before. Just thought it matched the pastel sweet theme of the boutique so I kept it as an outfit. Lastly is a lively look featuring one of the sweets tees from April Bonbon. You can find all these sweet outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 if you play New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Now for a look at my new delicious boutique! I was going for a sweet shop look mixed with a boutique. Love the gumball machine miniature, glad it made a return in Styling Star. I made sure to place lots of food and candy themed miniatures around the room as well to fit the theme.

Shopdo Update - Psychedelic Boutique

Finally changed over the boutique interior on my Shopdo and the new theme is psychedelic! I was inspired by a room I had for download in Style Boutique once called PopPop Boutique. I've posted about it before and you can check out the room design here! The three outfits for this week all fall under the psychedelic theme and I tried to go for some crazy quirky ensembles. The first one uses my favourite skirt from the Retrobeat brand and I found it matches perfectly with one of the toothbrush inners. I've never really used them before so it was fun to finally try one out. The second outfit is a crazy one which uses that wolf t-shirt dress thing from Retrobeat. I put some polka dot tights with it and it matched pretty well colour wise. The last outfit was only made because I wanted to use one of the bread outers. It looks hilarious! I'm so happy the pants worked out with the outfit as I didn't really know what bottoms to use with the outer. You can find all three of these groovy outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 if you play New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

I present to you the psychedelic look of my boutique and I actually maxed out the amount of items you could place down. I would've loved to have used more but the game wouldn't let me. I wanted some more pieces on the walls and some more circle tables in the centre of the room. I hate the item limit, it's so boring and dull.
