Style Boutique 2 Play Journal - Looking Back On Adventures

Found a bunch more photos from New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward that I don't I ever posted on here. They are mainly old photos from back when I used to use tumblr and some other various screenshots I saved. First up is this cute pic of my character and Kristy in the Halloween DLC items. I wanted to post this as I really miss these items which were exclusive to Fashion Forward. Styling Star was so lacklustre DLC wise and there wasn't any at all.

A bunch of random photos of character around town and these all features outfits that I absolutely loved in the game. The first look is one I had on my character for a long time and rather early in the game too. I was super into these tops under the girly brand and wore them all the time in Fashion Forward. Some outfits below contain designer items I downloaded from Japanese players and were some of favourites. I've never found as good designs in Styling Star and it would've been fun to transfer them over between games. These photos make me miss taking fun pictures at train station locations and quite a few of these were snaps when my character was getting inspiration for designer elements. Hence the same pose in like three of the photos.

Shopdo Update

The outfits for this week's set of Halloween costumes are some rather cute fairy themed looks. I went with a few similar images: lively, girly and psychedelic and tried to create fairy inspired looks based off the items in the game.  Each outfit features a different colour scheme and I went with dresses and skirts as they felt quite enchanted like. I thought fairies would be a cute costume to end my Halloween series on and I'll be back next year with another round of Halloween Shopdo Updates! You can find all three of these outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region). Happy Halloween!!

Shopdo Update

First of all, apologies for the late Shopdo Update as I was sick yesterday and wasn't able to post the update. So the first thing I've done after getting home after work is to post the update and here it is! I have another round of costumes for Halloween and all of this weeks outfits are vampire theme. The inspiration was that I really want to try out one of the Sims 4 bundle packs that has the vampires pack in it, I thought that would be a fun one as supernatural creatures have always been interesting in the game. The first vampire outfit is an elegant feminine inspired look and whilst I was originally going to go with a chic look, I thought the Chorale might be a bit more suitable and looks like an everyday outfit one might wear. The second outfit titled Moon Vampire is inspired by Purple Moon items. I finally found a use for these tacky dresses from the brand that I just never use and I paired it with some items from other Purple Moon sets. The final outfit is a cute Baby-Doll inspired vampire coordinate. It's kinda a mixture between gothic and baby-doll but I wanted it to have a more cute feel to it than dark. You can find all three of these spooky costumes at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Style Boutique 2 Play Journal - Talk About Terrible Outfits!

Recently I've been sorting out some files on my computer and I came across a bunch of New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward photos that I don't believe I've posted on this blog yet. So I thought I'd share them all in a series of play journals first starting off with this one about terrible outfits. There was a folder just titled 'Terrible Outfits' which as you guess, is just terrible outfits I've seen in the game. Let's take a look shall we? First off is this strange get-up which seems to be a mash-up of chic, rock and sporty. This is one look I can't explain at how it got this bad. Like maybe she already had some of this items on already and just kept adding more which ended up with this bizarre look.

Some not as bad looks now and this first one is easy to explain. You know when customers would come to your boutique asking for designer items you created. Well that's basically what this girl asked for which was my bear tights. She was already wearing a lovely gothic ensemble but just had to ruin it with these bear tights! The second outfit isn't too bad, I just hate how people wear high boots with three quarter pants. Like what are you thinking?

This outfit just looks like a mismatched outfit I would create for a challenge. How many styles are going on here? The socks and boots look cute together though. The second outfit I don't hate and it's mainly the out of place bodice that annoys me the most. The third outfit is another casualty to the designer item curse. She got the heart print tights and slapped them onto her sporty themed outfit. Just tragic haha.

Shopdo Update

There's a fun little theme to this week's Shopdo outfits which is that they are all ghost themed! Thought it was perfect for Halloween and would be super cute. The first outfit is a ghost themed around the girly style and I'm sure I had a similar look last Halloween. I liked it so much back then, I thought I'd bring it back. Next up is a Gothic ghost coordinate of course because you can't have spooky without the Gothic image. I tried to use some items such as this dress which I've never used before. Lastly is a chic inspired ghost because I feel it's quite unique and stylish. All three of these beauties are available at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

100 Outfit Challenge: Round Up

So here we are finally at the round up of the 100 Outfit Challenge and boy it's a been a long few months. Just over 3 months exactly and the seasons have even changed from Winter to Spring! It's hard to believe I came up with 100 outfits and I feel my creativity has really been pushed to it's limits. This was a fun challenge to do as it kept me occupied and I got to try out some items and ideas I wouldn't normally do. The next question is that will I do another challenge like this in the future? Most likely not as I think this is my last big challenge for a long time as my work schedule just doesn't allow me to post as much as I used to and with Christmas coming up, it's going to be super busy for me as it's the busiest time of year for logistics. I will most likely finish off my One Item Challenges and the Colour Collection posts for the blog, but no other large outfit challenges for me.

I picked out a selection of some of my favourite outfits from the 100 Outfit Challenge. Just noticed that nearly all the outfits feature skirts or dresses so we definitely know I prefer those over pants. It seems I quite like my girly or casual styled outfits as a number of the my top outfits belong to those styles. Surprisingly quite a few of the outfits below were ones I didn't expect to like so much, like the least favourite and favourite colour outfit or the leg warmers one. I think Styling Star has opened my eyes to trying out more styles rather than just sticky to girly or baby-doll like I normally would. Psychedelic has definitely become one of my go-to styles and I've been using way more items from AZ-USA and Enid Chen than I used to.

A big thank you to everyone who followed the 100 Outfit Challenge over the last few months. You can check out all the posts for the challenge on the 100 Outfit Challenge page and you can find all my other Style Boutique content on my Style Boutique page! If you do happen to take on the challenge yourself, please let me know in the comments as I would love to see it!

100 Outfit Challenge Day 100: Favourite Outfit

Wow, we are finally here at the final day of the 100 Outfit Challenge. It's been a long journey and a billion outfits it feels like. The theme for Day 100 is pretty simple which is to just choose your favourite outfit in the game. I knew I had to go with my eastern and psychedelic mashup as it's been my favourite since I made it what seems like a billion years ago for a challenge. Everything is amazing about it; the colours, the elegance and fusion of styles. It also combines some of my favourite colour tones in the game which are pink and purple. The backdrop is my lovely pink themed boutique from a while back as I loved this interior when I had it. I'll be back tomorrow with one last final round-up for the challenge so check back to find out what my top outfits of the challenge were!

100 Outfit Challenge Day 99: Invent A Style

A fun little theme for Day 99 and that's to create your own style. I've seen players doing this on tumblr so I thought I'd give it a shot. My style is focused on denim and every denim on denim. The main inspiration for my idea was the cover and concept of i.o.i's first mini album Chrysalis. I have the special edition of the album sitting on a shelf so I was looking at that when I was trying to get an idea. The style is a mixture of girly and preppy and is all about denim. I went with a top and hat that kinda had a denim feel to it to give the impression of denim. This theme was quite fun and I love how the idea turned out!

Shopdo Update

Here is the new set of costumes for my Halloween themed Shopdo month! The first outfit is inspired by playing cards and whilst I originally was going for a Alice In Wonderland theme, I thought the name Joker was a bit more appropriate. Second is a glam styled outfit themed around a cat costume which the ears from Purple Moon were perfect for! I just adore these purple toned items in Styling Star and it has definitely been one of my favourite colours in the game. Last outfit for this week is a baby-doll themed look titled Apple Princess. I wanted to go with a princess outfit but didn't want to do your stock-standard princess look. These apple themed items from Purple Moon are just stunning when paired with items from other brands in the game. You can find these outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

100 Outfit Challenge Day 98: Glam/Flirty

You all knew it was coming so here is my glam/flirty themed outfit! It's the final style of the challenge and my personal favourite to create in my challenges. It's fun to find the old Miss Ribbon items within the current brands and piece them together. I do have a guide book now that contains all the original items within the glam brand so it's easier to figure them out. I will be posting a glam guide thing later on that details each item from the brand. Anyway please enjoy my lovely lilac glam outfit! I'm sure I've posted a similar outfit to this previously as the glam items tend to cycle around after a while because there is only so many of them.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 97: New Styling Star Item

I would just like to thank the developers of Styling Star for including so many amazing new items in the game. One of my personal favourites are these strange poncho style outers which can be found at a few brands. I went with this quirky one from Retrobeat for my psychedelic outfit. I've probably made this look a thousand times already because I love it so much. I combined the outer with these adorable kitty socks from the same brand and some shoes to match the purple/blue tones in the ribbons and pockets. Another thing I love about this style of outer is that you don't have to worry about what inner and bottoms you use and can just select anything short. Super easy!

100 Outfit Challenge Day 96: Waistcoat & Vest

Waistcoats and vests are another item in Style Boutique that I feel I never use. I might use a vest occasionally in lively outfits and a waistcoat maybe in a gothic look if it looks good. So today I wanted to try to use a waistcoat or vest I normally wouldn't touch. I ended up using this deep green toned one for a cute girly outfit and I love how it turned out. It's a nice look for autumn weather as the colour tones match the colours of autumn. The waistcoat doesn't look too bulky in the photos which was a concern of mine and one reason why I avoid them.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 95: Gold

Bit of a new look with today's outfit which is a combination of chic and glam/flirty style. I do love my glam style so I'm happy this look turned out so perfect. The dress looks a bit cheap compared to all the other expensive items in the look but it's the ultimate combination of gold tones and sequins! Gold items in the game are generally limited to Enid Chen so it was a no brainier to go with a chic styled outfit. I've done a Gold Colour Outfits Collection post previously and even then I struggled to find items in each style. So it was pretty easy to narrow down the items I wanted to use for this look and the new butterfly wing styled shoes were the perfect final touch to the outfit.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 94: Mismatched

Now I've done a mismatch outfit previously in my 30 Day Outfit Challenge and the result was an interesting one. And it seems this time my mismatched outfit turned out kinda similar. I decided to narrow my choices to random girly themed items to see if the outfit would make some cohesive sense. I ended up randomly select the same style of bolero which was interesting considering how many outers are in the section. The rest of the outfit is kinda meh and just looks like you got dressed in the dark. It could look better without the bow and bolero which I added because I wanted a number of items in the outfit. Maybe I'll have more luck next time with my randomised outfit.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 93: Least Favourite Item

Today marks the first of October and the final month of the 100 Outfit Challenge. I went with another clothing themed prompt for today as I wanted to get outside my comfortable zone and try using an item I always avoid. We all know that item in Style Boutique that we never use because we either dispose it, can never work it into outfits or just don't understand the design of it. For me, my least favourite item would be these low neckline jumpers which are available from a variety of brands. I just don't get them and I'm not a huge fan of low necklines in jumpers. For my outfit, I choose to work with a pink spotted jumper as I love the colour and the pattern is cute. It was pretty easy from them and I made this girly styled look. I actually quite enjoy this and I like how you can see the detail on the inner with the low neckline.
