Dream Ami Lovefool -Sukidatte Itte -好きだって言って- - Single Review (CD Only Edition)

A while ago I purchased a few Japanese Pop CD's from YesAsia and I've finally got around to posting a review on one of them. One of the CD's I brought was Dream Ami's Lovefool - Sukidatte Itte Single and I'm in love with this single. Ami is my favourite Japanese solo artist and Lovefool is one of my favourite songs from the 1990's, so I just had to get this single to hear her version of the song.

The single is available in three different editions: CD+DVD Edition, CD Edition and limited One Coin edition. The One Coin edition was only available in Japan through the mu-mo store, the LDH mobile shop and the E-Girls Family Official shop. I brought the CD edition as I wanted the instrumentals of all the songs. The single features the following tracks:
  1. Lovefool -好きだって言って-
  2.  じゃあね
  3. JUMP!
  4. Lovefool -好きだって言って- (Instrumental)
  5. じゃあね (Instrumental)
  6. JUMP! (Instrumental)

The title track of the single is Lovefool which is a cover of the Cardigans song from the 1990's. It features some of the original  lyrics, but mainly features Japanese lyrics. The song has more of pop feel to it than the original version and Ami's voice sounds amazing.  じゃあね (Ja Ne) is a beautiful love song and JUMP! is Ami's first self-penned song. JUMP! has an upbeat feel to it and reminds me of older J-Pop songs. The instrumentals of each song are great and I'm happy they were included on the album. The Lovefool one is my favourite.

Now onto the single itself. The jewel CD case comes in a cardboard slip sleeve cover and the single came in a plastic cover which I was over the moon about. I love getting CD's with plastic sleeves as it helps protect them whilst being stored. But this particular plastic cover has this amazing silky feel to it. There is also a sticker on the plastic sleeve detailing the single. The cover of the cardboard sleeve and CD insert are the same image of Ami on the heart couch.

The back cover of the cardboard sleeve and jewel case are different. The cardboard sleeve features Ami on the heart couch again with the tracks listed across the top whilst the jewel case one has a close up with the tracks in a vertical list.

Inside the jewel case, there is a beautiful rose coloured CD to match the aethestic of the rest of the album design. The insert features the lyrics to each of the three songs on the single and an flyer advertising EG Family and rhythmZONE artists.
