Something new on the blog today as I thought I would post a random CD haul of all the ones I've been picking up randomly over the last few months. Only two Japanese albums in this haul and the rest are western artists. I found all these albums at a few different stores which I'll mention in more detail later on. Here is the random CD haul for the first part of the year!
First off is an album that is very special to me as I came across it by luck. Found it in a selection of albums at JB Hi-Fi on clearance and I was so excited as I didn't think a copy could be found at JB's anymore! It is Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's KKP Best from a few years back and contains all her best hits. The album is the standard regular edition and comes with a cardboard OBI strip which I've never seen before.
Next up is a bunch of albums I found at Op-Shop stores which are what we call thrift or charity shops here in Australia. I love going through the CD's and DVD's at Op-Shops to find treasures or just see what everyone has been donating. You can always notice a trend by seeing what artists have to most donated or similar artists you see at different shops. In my recent visits, the trend has been One Direction and Enya CD's. Like I saw stacks of One Direction at four different Op-Shops! Anyway onto what I brought. First is Bardot's second album Play It Like That which was a good find! Bardot was a pop group created from a TV show called Popstars in the early 2000's and had the hit song Poison which is one of my faves. Would love to find their first album one day as well but I got this one as it has the songs I Need Somebody and ASAP which are bops. Picked up some Britney Spear's releases that I didn't have because I love a bit of Britney. Had a good laugh at the BIG W price tag still stuck to the Circus CD and makes me remember when I used to go to BIG W back in the day to buy all my So Fresh CDs each season. The CD+DVD edition of the Spice Girl's Greatest Hits was another find and I only picked this up for the DVD really which has the music videos. Still have my original SPICE and SPICEWORLD albums from when they came out and still listen to them now. Lastly was a spectacular find which is The Hives' Your New Favourite Band album. Shocked to see this as you rarely see The Hives things anywhere especially an older one like that. The Opshop where I found this had a lot of early 2000's punk stuff so it was probably from the person that donated all of those.
I would have to say that this beige colour outfits collection was incredibly easy to put together and this particular colour tone has a large selection of items in the game. It was hard to narrow down items for some of the larger styles such as girly and feminine. I feel like beige isn't a colour I wear a lot of in real life as it's hard to find nice items in the colour tone and it can get dirty easily compared to darker tones. My top outfits for this colour tone would be Purple Moon, girly and feminine. I absolutely love the feminine outfit as it looks so elegant and gives a nice silhouette. The feminine hairstyle my character has also matches the feel of the outfit perfectly. The girly outfit is a fave as it reminds me of the outfits I used to make back in Fashion Forward. Always went for this skirt and down jacket combo! The Purple Moon look I just thought was super cute and would work well as a gothic or baby-doll look as well. Preppy
For this months Caprice Chalet room, I decided to go with something simple and cute. I made this dog themed room a while ago for a guide and still had it in my room collection. So I thought it would be a fun room for this month! The design is very similar to the loft/hallway designs I sometimes do for rooms and I just put down a bunch of dog miniatures to theme the room. These miniatures are so adorable! They remind me of Little Friends on the Nintendo Switch which I just brought and it's super cute! It's basically Nintendogs on the switch and you can pet all the doggos!!! You can find this adorable room at room address 180-239-9851 in New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward.
Finally got the Shopdo Update up for March, I had just completely forgotten about it until recently as I didn't realise it was March. So I'm sorry for the late upload of the new outfits :( I've stuck with the same interior as last month as I'm not really feeling inspired to make a new one nor have any ideas for a new layout. I decided to go with colour themed outfits this month for something different. First up is a beige themed outfit as hype for the Colour Collection post I will be posting soon featuring that very colour. I quite like the beige toned items in Style Boutique and I went for a feminine/chic look for this outfit. I tried to use some items I rarely use such as these pants and inner. Next up is a girly look because I'm boring haha. Nah I really like making girly outfits in the game and there is just so many items under that theme that it would take ages to try them all out! Last look is another feminine inspired look and I tried to go for a coffee brown tone for this one. I always use these dresses from Chorale as they are well designed and look great in all the colours. Apologies for the late monthly favourites post as I did not realise we were in a new month until just now. Been flat out recently so I lost track of time. My job is in logistics and the recent Coronavirus outbreak is causing a lot of supplier issues and cancellations, so I've been busy dealing with that plus stocktake. I'll be posting my February Favourites, Shopdo update and Caprice Chalet room update all this weekend to catch up. Gaming Hyped for New Horizons in a few weeks! Can't believe it's like two weeks away! I've been avoiding the directs and stuff because I want to be surprised with the game and just pick it up to play. Nowadays most stuff in games gets spoiled and sometimes you get let down if you hype something up too much. So I haven't been reading about New Horizons at all and wanted it to be like the old days when you just played a game with no prior knowledge. I've given up on Pocket Camp as I'm so exhausted from all the events. They literally start one after another now! Not even a days rest. I found the recent Valentines one really hard and it was tricky to complete all the event tasks. Then I like never do anything with the rewards anyway apart from the pastel or eastern themed ones. Here is a cute pic though of my villagers celebrating the end of the event.
Music I will be posting a giant CD haul soon which is exciting because it's not K-Pop or J-Pop for once! Well one Japanese release and that's it. I've accumulated a number of CD's recently so I thought I'd share them all in one big post. So keep an eye out for that! Been into some new tracks this month. Really loving Say My Name from ANS and it's one of the best K-Pop songs I've heard for a while. I wish more songs had a good structure and catchy lyrics like that one. I don't mind BOOM BOOM from them as well and interested to see what they bring out in the future. There is a girl season of that Chinese variety show 年少有你 Youth With You starting soon and I'm super excited to see it. I really enjoyed Chinese Produce 101 so I'm hoping it's similar to that. Last of old screenshots from Animal Crossing: New Leaf to get hyped for the release of New Horizons. This is the last lot of old screenshots I could find from the game that I haven't shared on the blog yet. Most of these aren't from the early stages of the game last my previous posts were. The outfit my character has on was the QR Code dress I wore for pretty much most of the time I played the game in later years. It's just so adorable with the little backpack on the back! Anyway first off here is a silly photo of my favourite villager Frita!
Quick tour of some spots in my town and these areas have changed over time. Sometimes I have to demolish the public works projects just to move them over one tile. The game really needed a customisation option for things like this because I'm sure not the only player to have experienced this.
