Style Boutique 2 Play Journal - Discovered The Cutest Outfit Ever!

Hasn't been an exciting week in Style Boutique. I'm mainly working on hitting one million dollars in money in the game, pretty close now. About $10,000 off a million. Other than that, it's been pretty chill because I finally got five stars in the fun category in the fashion shows. I've been doing some more fashion shows and just experimenting with outfits. Haven't got another five stars yet, but I thought these two outfits were cute. I like the pink baby-doll themed one which got four stars.

Had an interesting time recently with customers creating some terrible looking outfits by layering items on top of each other. It's incredibly annoying when a customer asks for one item and then they surprise you by putting on top or under an item that totally doesn't match. Here's some gems that happened this week. The girl in the purple outfit asked for boots I had designed and stuck her three-quarter pants into them which looked silly. The girl in the green wasn't too terrible, I just wasn't expecting her to put the tank top over her other tank top. The one in the bottom two pictures is the best. She asked for a inner and I assumed she would put it under her t-shirt as that's what an inner is for. Nope, she put it over the t-shirt and this crazy looking getup was created.

When you download and add rooms to your Caprice Chalet, the player who owns that room will visit your boutique. I had one of those player characters visit my boutique recently and her outfit is gorgeous! I love how she matched the pieces together into a beautiful lolita coordinate and the navy colour is stunning.

Such a perfect ensemble!

Animal Crossing New Leaf Play Journal - On The Road To A Perfect Town

So I've been trying to get a perfect town status in New Leaf. I've had one before a few years ago when I first started playing. But I want to get it again so I can grow more Jacob's Ladder. I find them so cute and I love planting them around my town. Unfortunately I had to delete a few town projects that were negatively affecting the town nature rating. So sadly the picnic rug and tire swing had to go. I also demolished the instrumental shelter as I never really used it anymore.

Recently I've built a flower clock and solar panel. These town projects will lift your nature rating greatly to achieve a perfect town. However, Isabelle is still saying it's not perfect and needs more town projects. I've just finished a wind turbine so hopefully that will help.

Finally got Frita to move back into my town after she sadly moved away when I stopped playing a long time. I was sad that she left as she was my favourite villager. Luckily someone in my Nintendo Group was kind enough to lend me their Frita amibo card to scan her back into my town. She moved in the other day and in a perfect spot too! Not over any plants or paths thankfully.

Visited Pekoe recently and she was wearing the terrible designed BMO tee that I made. This design is my town flag and honestly, it's terrible. I've never really looked into designing things in the game, I just scan QR Codes in for outfits or paths. But I made this simple looking BMO from Adventure Time once and haven't removed it yet. So it always makes me laugh when villagers wear it as a t-shirt.

J-Pop Albums - Dream Ami & After School

Received a new order from YesAsia the other day of some j-pop albums. The ones I brought this time were three singles from Dream Ami and After School's Lady Luck/Dilly Dally single. The three Dream Ami singles I got were Dress wo nuita Cinderella, Hayaku Aitai and Kimi no Tonari. The first two are older singles of hers but Kimi no Tonari is her newest single.

I brought the CD versions of all four singles as I prefer these versions as they include the singles. YesAsia however doesn't list two of these singles correctly. For example, the Hayaku Aitai single only has one track listed as the track listing but the actual single includes 6 tracks. Lady Luck/Dilly Dally was the same, only lists 3 tracks but it has 6. The best way to find out what is actually included on the CD before deciding to buy it or not, is to look at the publisher product code listed in the technical information and then google that. I use Generasia to confirm the product codes to the version of the CD I want to buy (i.e. the single one) and also a Japanese music store like Tower Records, CD Japan or Amazon Japan.

I'm trying to build up my collection of Dream Ami CD's and I'm only missing the Try Everything single now. She has an album coming out in October, but I'm not sure which version I'll get. Most likely the CD one as it's the cheapest and I'm not sure how many songs will be on the album that I don't already own. I hate buying albums that already have songs I own on them (look up Crayon Pop albums, I've had to buy BarBarBar a billion times now). Here's a photo of my collection so far and I have to say the design of Dream Ami's covers are one of my favourites in my collection.

Look at these beautiful aesthetics!

Style Boutique 2 Play Journal - Five Stars Finally!

Finally did it! I finally got five stars in the fun category in the fashion shows in Style Boutique 2! I've been trying for ages to get a five star outfit in this category and I lost track of how many failed attempts I had. Here's the five star winning outfit!

It took a lot of experimentation and failed attempts to get to this. At first I was using the lively theme clothing items and that always seemed to just get three or four stars. Sometimes even two! But then I switched to the sporty theme clothing items and I started to get better scores. After a few attempts, I found the combination of a jacket, pants, some logo/patterned inner and sneakers worked well.

So let's take a look at all the failed attempts I had. Well the ones I kept the pictures of, a lot I deleted.

This whole experience has made me discover lots of important aspects an outfit must have when creating a five star outfit. Trying to get them all together and put them into blog posts sometime in the future. I made a more detailed post about this outfit at my Style Boutique blog.

Animal Crossing New Leaf Play Journal - Summer Adventures

Been playing a fair amount of Animal Crossing New Leaf lately and thought I'd share some of my activities that have been happening in the game. A while ago, the villagers celebrated four years of my excellent work as Mayor. But they hilariously forgot that I was absent for over one year because I stopped playing.

One of my villagers Canberra (who is cute Koala named after our nation's capital) had some witty lines to deliver recently. The umbrella one is my favourite as I have no clue what she is talking about.

Visited the cutest Dream Address and their town was themed in the most beautiful and creative way. Plus I'm a sucker for any design featuring a lot of pink. The playground area was adorable and set out perfectly. I wish nintendo had put more playground style town projects into the game, maybe like a swing set or seesaw. The campground area was a nice area to visit as well. Overall the landscaping of this dream town has been one of my favourites I've seen in the game. I've included the address for the town which is 6C00-006D-EAE5 incase you wish to visit it yourself.

Speaking of dream addresses, I received some excellent feedback recently from a player with a hilarious name. So thank you to Random from Awesome who visited! My Dream Address is 7A00-004D-AD3C if you wish to visit.

Style Boutique 2 - Updated Room Code

Recently updated my room code in Style Boutique 2 with a new room design. Before I had a room called Doll Boutique set as the room but now I've changed it to a new Boutique style design. For this design, I focused on girly and baby doll style miniatures. It's pretty similar to the previous room design I had, but a bit more pink now.

If you have Style Boutique 2 (or Style Savvy 3 as it's known in America), you can download my room at the address 180-239-9851.
