Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book - Raven Candle Clothing Items

I was finally able to take more photos of my ガールズモード 3 キラキラ☆コーデ  book (Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination in English)! This post will look at the Raven Candle brand which has the same name in the original Japanese version. I wonder what groovy name it would've had if it was called something else in ガールズモード 3? As you can guess from the photo, the main style of Raven Candle is gothic and it is home to EGL style fashion pieces.

Raven Candle isn't just home to the gothic style and also features styles such as baby-doll, bold, rock, chic and preppy. Baby-doll makes perfect sense as that is pretty much the companion to gothic. Sometimes I even forget what brand clothing items belong to as Marble Lily does feature some very Raven Candle-like items. This brand being included in the ガールズモード3games makes perfect sense as the EGL style is hugely popular in Japan and is a big part of EGL history in the country. There are some great outfit sets at Raven Candle and lately I've been checking out the short skirts and shorts from the brand and moving away from my usual pannier skirt styles. Like I love those however I enjoy seeing what new combinations I can make that incorporate the outers. Raven Candle has a great selection of outers and it takes some experimenting to find out what works with what.

Shopdo Update - February 2020

I've kept the feminine themed boutique for another one as I love this interior and last month's outfits proved popular. The outfits for February feature a range of styles and are suitable for different occasions. First up is a feminine themed look featuring this gorgeous aqua tone and for this look, I wanted to try using a trench coat style outer as I rarely use those. I paired it with this skirt from Enid Chen and some cute heels. The second outfit is a girly outfit as that's my usual go-to look for Shopdo outfits. I actually really like this and feel it would be cute in real life to wear. Again I tried to use some items I rarely use which resulted in this camisole top with these shorts. Last outfit is a baby-doll one and I went for a brown colour scheme to try to match the boutique interior. The outfit is a mixture of items from Marble Lily, Raven Candle and Marzipan Sky. All three of these outfits can be found at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update

First of all, apologies for the late Shopdo Update as I was sick yesterday and wasn't able to post the update. So the first thing I've done after getting home after work is to post the update and here it is! I have another round of costumes for Halloween and all of this weeks outfits are vampire theme. The inspiration was that I really want to try out one of the Sims 4 bundle packs that has the vampires pack in it, I thought that would be a fun one as supernatural creatures have always been interesting in the game. The first vampire outfit is an elegant feminine inspired look and whilst I was originally going to go with a chic look, I thought the Chorale might be a bit more suitable and looks like an everyday outfit one might wear. The second outfit titled Moon Vampire is inspired by Purple Moon items. I finally found a use for these tacky dresses from the brand that I just never use and I paired it with some items from other Purple Moon sets. The final outfit is a cute Baby-Doll inspired vampire coordinate. It's kinda a mixture between gothic and baby-doll but I wanted it to have a more cute feel to it than dark. You can find all three of these spooky costumes at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update

There's a fun little theme to this week's Shopdo outfits which is that they are all ghost themed! Thought it was perfect for Halloween and would be super cute. The first outfit is a ghost themed around the girly style and I'm sure I had a similar look last Halloween. I liked it so much back then, I thought I'd bring it back. Next up is a Gothic ghost coordinate of course because you can't have spooky without the Gothic image. I tried to use some items such as this dress which I've never used before. Lastly is a chic inspired ghost because I feel it's quite unique and stylish. All three of these beauties are available at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update

Here is the new set of costumes for my Halloween themed Shopdo month! The first outfit is inspired by playing cards and whilst I originally was going for a Alice In Wonderland theme, I thought the name Joker was a bit more appropriate. Second is a glam styled outfit themed around a cat costume which the ears from Purple Moon were perfect for! I just adore these purple toned items in Styling Star and it has definitely been one of my favourite colours in the game. Last outfit for this week is a baby-doll themed look titled Apple Princess. I wanted to go with a princess outfit but didn't want to do your stock-standard princess look. These apple themed items from Purple Moon are just stunning when paired with items from other brands in the game. You can find these outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

100 Outfit Challenge Day 69: Magic

Magic is the theme for today as I felt like doing something a little crazy and out of the box. The main inspiration for today's outfit was the old Sims 1 expansion pack Making Magic. The outfit reminded me of the clothing items you could give your sims in the game. I remember when the expansion pack first came out and my friends and I were super into the Sims at the time. However we weren't really into Making Magic as it never run well on anyone's computers and was kinda boring compared to Hot Date or Vacation. Maybe if I went back now and played it, I might understand it more but Sims 1 is such a pain to run on modern computers. I had all the games a while back that I found in an Op Shop but my PC hated running them and it was too much fuss to play. If only EA would remaster the original series, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Now how did this post turn in Sims nostalgia haha!

Shopdo Update

Another Shopdo Update and another week of rock themed outfits! The first outfit for this week is this crazy rock style outfit featuring these bizarre pants from Stage Dive. Do people really use these? I never do because they are so strange. Thought I'd try them out for a change and paired them with some other fluro items. The second outfit is a stylish preppy look with a rock feel. It's more of a fashion model rock look than performance outfit and I quite like it. The tones of grey worked well together and looks rather stylish. Final outfit is a gothic coordinate with a rock feel. I really wanted to use this jacket from Raven Candle as it felt perfect for the style and it worked well. You can find all these outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

100 Outfit Challenge Day 61: Outer

For today's outfit I wanted to try and use an outer that I rarely use and the first one that came to mind was this style from Marble Lily. I always avoid them because they don't have a nice silhouette shape when used in outfits and always squish down the pannier skirts and dresses. I went with a nice black and pink toned outer and built a baby-doll inspired look around it. Turned out super cute and reminds me a bit of old-school style EGL outfits that I've seen in KERA magazines.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 45: Alice In Wonderland

A while ago, I did an Alice In Wonderland inspired cosplay for my 30 Day Cosplay Challenge and today I'm back with another Wonderland inspired look. This time I went with a Card Solider inspired look as these dresses from Raven Candle always remind me of them. I used the red toned dress to match one of the colours of the soliders and I haven't used this colour of the dress much in Styling Star. These tights from Raven Candle are hands down one of the best pairs of tights in the game. They look great with everything, are versatile and come in a great range of colours. I always use them in gothic style looks as black goes with everything. It seems soon enough I'm going to have a whole collection of Alice In Wonderland character outfits in Styling Star!

100 Outfit Challenge Day 44: Photo Shoot Location

A fun feature when taking photos in Styling Star is the opportunity to choose the location you'd like to take you photos at. I thought I'd take today and take some photos at my favourite location spot which is the Cake Shop. I just love the colour tones of the interior and cute details of the cakes in the display. I dressed up in a baby-doll outfit for the photo shoot and used a food inspired dress for the outfit. Thought it was appropriate for the location and I haven't actually used this particular dress from Marble Lily much. I do miss some of the photo shoot locations from Fashion Forward, especially Maple Crescent. Such a shame they removed the eastern inspired location when Japanese fashion is a major inspiration for many styles in the game.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 30: Gloves

Does anyone else rarely use gloves in Style Boutique or is that just me? I feel I only use them in baby-doll or gothic themed outfits as those styles traditionally feature gloves. Originally I wanted to use some cute gloves from April Bonbon, however I didn't like all the outfits I tried so I settled on this baby-doll/girly look. For once, I don't actually mind how the outer pushes down the fullness of the skirt. This is usually something that annoys me with the Marble Lily outers but it kinda works with this style of skirt.

100 Outfit Challenge Day 25: Purple

For today's Purple themed outfit, I went with a baby-doll look as you doesn't love baby-doll? I wanted to make use of this bolero from Marble Lily as I feel I haven't used one in a while. The purple tone matched perfectly with other items from the brand. Sometimes with baby-doll items, the colours are slightly off which is rather annoying. But these ones were of the same palette so it all worked out. You can check out my other Purple Colour Outfit Collection post here!

Shopdo Update

It's a new week and it's a new round of outfits for Shopdo! The first outfit for this week is a baby-doll outfit inspired by the preppy style. I tried to pick pieces from Marble Lily and Raven Candle that I thought represented the preppy look. Turned out pretty cute, didn't it? The second outfit is a preppy outfit to fit with the boutique theme and I always find these types of outers interesting. Like they look super comfy but whenever I try to wear them, I get annoyed at them. So I just avoid them nowadays plus they're a pain to store. The final outfit is a girly outfit with a slight preppy feel using one of the check outfit sets I've been loving in the game recently. I think this green and the purple one are the most stylish ones. You may have noticed this week I gave all the outfits fun class themed names to tie in with the preppy/school them. I thought it was a cute thing to do plus I find it hard to come up with names sometimes. You can find all three outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update

This weekend was the Australia Day long weekend so it was great to have some days off after the busy Christmas and New Year period. And thankfully the weather cooled down because last week was a scorcher! It was almost 50 degrees but it totally felt like 50 if you went outside in the sun.

Anyway I've kept the feminine boutique interior for a final week. Promise I'll change it for next weeks update once I figure out what look to try next. The first outfit of the bunch is this matching set from Chorale. I wanted to use these plaid inner and whilst I was searching for a bottom to use with it, I discovered it has a matching skirt. I never noticed this before! The second outfit is a gothic/baby-doll look since I haven't done one for a few weeks. Love the bold red tones and stripes on the pannier skirt. The final outfit is a girly look featuring beautiful tones. I think Styling Star has the best purple toned clothing items and I'm in love with this lilac purple tone. You can find all three outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 if you play New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

Shopdo Update

Here is the final Halloween themed Shopdo update and I'm a bit sad as I had lots of fun with this theme. I went with some classic gothic and baby-doll coordinates for the final week. The first outfit features one of my favourite items from the Raven Candle brand which is this jacket. I wanted to go for a dark witch inspired look with the dark purple tones in the outfit. The second outfit is just the same outfit that my character is currently wearing. I added this outfit to the catalogue as I thought it was colourful and fun. The third and final look is another gothic look titled Velvet Cupcakes. I wanted to go with a dark red toned outfit that was elegant. These new dresses and capelet's from Raven Candle are perfect for matching looks. So if you would like to visit my Shopdo for Halloween, you can find it at Shopdo ID 0006271056 if you play New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS region).

Shopdo Update

In keeping with the current spooky boutique interior, this week's Shopdo update includes gothic themed outfits. The first outfit is a casual gothic look in a ouji fashion style. I tried going for a masculine looking outfit and wanted to experiement using some shorts from Raven Candle instead of dresses and skirts all the time. I titled the outfit Nightmare Bunny after the cute black and white bunny bag. The second outfit is a musical themed gothic look. I love these gorgeous music note print skirts in the game and they even have inners to match. It's great when the developers made these matching sets as it makes it easy to create coordinates that look well put together. For the final look, I wanted to go with a girly outfit but I put a twist on it. I picked out one of these new giant outers to use and then I thought it kinda looked like a ghost. So I thought why not create a ghost costume? It's the perfect thing for Halloween! I really liked how the outfit turned out as I totally wasn't expecting this concept to work. If you would like to visit my Shopdo, you can find it at Shopdo ID 0006271056 if you play New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

One Item Challenge - Raven Candle

Haven't posted one of these in a while since I was doing the 30 Day Cosplay Challenge last month, so I thought it was time for another One Item Challenge. This time, I shall be taking on the gothic and spooky brand Raven Candle. I decided to go with a all black pannier skirt from the brand as it would be the most versatile item to use with other images. Here's a picture of the Rose and Ribbon skirt from Raven Candle that I will be using as my one item.

Gothic
First off is the matching image to the skirt: gothic. Used one of the new jackets to the brand for Styling Star as they are my top new items in the game. I just love the embellishments on the jacket and stylish gold buttons.

Lively
I like to call this look 'Minnie Mouse' as that was the inspiration for the outfit. I wasn't sure at first how to match a gothic item to the lively theme as they are complete opposites of each other. Then when I selected this polka dot t-shirt, I was suddenly reminded of Minnie Mouse's outfits in Disney Magical World so I went along with it.

Eastern
I have to admit this is the first time I've used a hair piece of both sides of the head. I've never really done it before but it just matched this eastern look perfectly. Went with a red and black colour scheme with some hints of yellow.

Shopdo Update - Halloween Boutique Interior

Since Halloween is only a few weeks away, I thought I'd give my boutique a spooky makeover and create a gothic themed interior for the spooky season. I've got some new gothic and baby-doll themed outfits to match the new interior as well. The first outfit is a grey toned gothic coordinate featuring the quirky clock handbag. I originally wanted to build a sleeveless gothic outfit around this inner but then I discovered that this skirt from Purple Moon matches it perfectly. So I went with this gloomy grey themed look titled Clockwork after the bag. The second outfit is one of my favourite new dresses from the Raven Candle brand. I've used this dress a few times in my Shopdo updates and this time I've gone for a blue themed coordinate. I named this outfit Moonlight after the dark tones in the dress. For the final outfit in this week's update, I decided to included a cute Baby-Doll coordinate. It's not as spooky as the other two which are gothic themed but some people go for a more pastel look for Halloween.

I decided to go with a gothic themed interior to celebrate the Halloween season. Also I just wanted an excuse to use these stunning rose-embossed coffin's. It's annoying that the unique Halloween DLC items from Fashion Forward were not included in Styling Star because the graveyard themed wall would've been perfect for creating a scary boutique. Placed some Raven Candle dresses around the room for decoration and placed a little black cat on the floor because you can't have Halloween without a black cat!
