Animal Crossing New Horizons Play Journal - Villager Adventures

I couldn't think of what to do for this week's blog post, so I decided on another Animal Crossing New Horizons play journal. I have enough of a backlog of screenshots to post another journal so let's go! First off we have the best villager ever, Pudge! He was hanging outside his house doing some exercise in the rain. Classic Pudge right there and his little face is so squishy!!!

There was a few villager birthday's in this lot of screenshots and I took some snaps at Marshal's big party! I love how the villager's visit each other's parties and doesn't Marshal look smashing in his little outfit. I need to get better at remembering my villagers birthdays! I have an Animal Crossing app on my phone now so it can remind me when a villager has one. If only I'll remember by the time I get to play at the end of the day after work.

Opened more bridges and inclines because we cannot have a play journal without one. These are all in the correct place now and look great! It took some island planning to figure out the best location for bridges. I know a lot of players hate how you can't get it to line up with the museum so I decided to place mine off to the side of the entrance. Doesn't bug me as much like that and I'm planning to place some flowers in front of the museum. The other bridge is near my house and I placed it specifically here as I wanted it close to a waterfall so you could see the bridge from below. The incline is for a planned zen garden area as you cannot have an Animal Crossing island without one haha.

Frita is sitting down wondering if anyone is spying on her and yes, I am. She just looks so grumpy sitting there by her house surrounded by nothing. I've just moved her house here and haven't landscaped this area yet. At least she has a lollipop to entertain herself! The second shot is from my visit to Wendy's place and I took this photo as I hated how that top looked on her. It's just the wrong colour and I wish the sheep still have their little scarves. They were too cute!!!

Hamphrey is too perfect for my town and is the best grumpy villager. I caught his strolling around the forest area I have been creating by my house. He lives down on the next level so it was a quick walk from his place. I wonder what his inspection of the area was and if he approves? He ended up falling asleep on his walk and I couldn't resist taking a snap of his cute little face.

Now for some random adventures of villagers on my island. Eugene suckered me into buying his old junk, well that's what he thought. I usually buy villager's items to be nice and sometimes to get a new item I don't already own. Second photo is Maple looking adorable taking a nap on the log bench. This bear dress I designed actually looks wonderful on her and probably the best out of all the villagers! I miss having Maple on my island and maybe I should move her back on. Then we have Bill enjoying the new pumpkin patch outside his house. I designed this area to be a little farm area and it was amazing when they announced farming would become a real thing! So I turned it into a real farm and Bill seems to approve! Last photo is of an area I terraformed recently and I'm happy with how it turned out. I wanted a open river mouth area but wanted a built up part to make their area for interesting than just being flat.

A few snapshots of my house exterior now and I've made this pink themed garden. I've always been a pink themed house person in the Animal Crossing games and it's lovely that we can customise the mail box now! When I discovered you could move it, boy was that a game changer. I got a ton of inspiration for this area online and it took a while before I made this as I didn't have the DIY recipes for things I wanted. It was a cherry blossom season when I took these photos and I'd love if I could have the pink trees all year round! I couldn't figure out what to do with this large space in front of my house so I turned in into a small fairy garden with some insect models. Shout out to my friend who helped me get these colour variants of the bears and picnic basket!

Visited my friends island one evening after she paid my island a visit. She has such a cool island layout with stacks of fun areas to explore. My person favourite is the Roald Shrine and I can report that Roald does indeed live on the island now. This survivor style zone seems very popular on my friend's islands as I have three others who have a similar layout too. It's not something I'd personally put on my island but I like the idea of it.

And that's another lot of New Horizons screenshots done! There was plenty of fun adventures to share and even some lovely photos of my island looking nice. It's better now that I've actually done some landscaping and it's beginning to look more like a functioning island and home.
