Style Boutique 2 Room Address Update: Animal Crossing

Yesterday I updated my Shopdo after nearly a year and today it is time to update my Caprice Chalet room in New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward. Soooo it seems that I haven't updated my room in the game since March 2020 and wow that seems like a billion years ago. I really want to get back into updating both my Shopdo and Caprice Chalet room address each month, kind of like a new years resolution.

So for my exciting room for the update I went with an Animal Crossing themed space. Nothing too fancy and I wanted to start off easy after not playing the game after so long. The main inspiration for this room was actually from a comment on my old Fashion Forward blog. A commenter was asking if anyone had these Animal Crossing DLC items in a room available for download so that they could purchase them. I thought why not just fill a room with them and let the player know. The items are quite cute and the photocopier is honestly my favourite. It's just so boring and plain compared to the flashy Style Boutique game.

You can find this adorable room at room address 180-239-9851 in New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward.

Shopdo Update - November 2022

I was thinking the other day that it has been forever since I updated my Shopdo. I think it has almost even been a whole year as the last update was maybe around February 2022. Time to change that with a new set of Shopdo outfits and boutique interior! I decided to go with a pink boutique this time as I always feel happy when I see pink and there are plenty of cute miniatures to use for decoration.

Outfit wise I went with three pink toned outfits in girly, baby-doll and lively themes. It always feels like I use those styles rather often! The girly look was something new for me as I wanted to utilise items I haven't touched. This camisole came to mind and somehow I ended on these shorts to pair with it. Like I both hate and love it. Colours are gorgeous however I think it looks rather bulky. Second look is your typical baby-doll outfit and this time I went with a pretty floral print. Felt like the bag matched up well and was a nice touch. Last look is a pastel lively outfit that I feel could almost past as girly. It just has that girly outfit vibe to me.

You can find all these outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).

October Favourites

It really doesn't feel like October here as the weather has been rather bizarre. Most days the temperature is below 20 degrees and it is even going to snow in some parts of Australia this week. Probably the coldest October I've recalled for a while and it is hard to believe back in 2008 it was 40 degrees in October. I hope the warmer weather comes soon along with some reprieve from the rain. Like the rain is great because we need it but there has been a lot of bad flooding recently. Not where I live as I don't live near the Murray River or any large bodies of water. Hopefully it will get better soon!

Gaming

Been playing Style Boutique mainly along with some MODEL debut2 #nicola. I've been reading most of the month so I don't play many games. I have updated my Shopdo and my Caprice Chalet which I'll post on here for people to visit. Man remember back when I used to update my Shopdo every Monday? Where on earth did I find the time to do that every week!?!

Beauty

Got some lovely new items from Revolution Beauty including this Creator Hydra Pigment Palette. I've been interested in graphic liner palettes recently and this was the first one I've seen for sale near me. Picked it up but haven't figured out how to use it yet. Hopefully the pigments will be nice and vibrant. Everything else was lip glosses because I'm obsessed with Revolution lip products. I go through them pretty quick so it's great being able to try out lots of different ones. Also waiting on a ColourPop order to arrive this week which is exciting.

Music

Lately I've just been listening to random albums in my car and my favourite has definitely been Savage Garden's self titled album. Now back in the day when this band was promoting and quite popular, I wasn't into them at all and generally avoided their stuff. Plus I was younger so it wasn't really in my zone compared to the Spice Girls or Five. But my workmate got me onto the band and now I love this album. It's so good and I listen to it on repeat all the time.

One Year Challenge Week 13: Halloween

What a spooky occurrence that the Halloween themed challenge fell on week dated number 13! That number is actually my lucky number so I'm not too spooked by it. Halloween is such a fun time of year and it is nice that we are starting to celebrate it more in Australia. Whilst it isn't as crazy as overseas, it is a bit of fun for kids and I love grabbing Halloween themed stuff at the shops! I've started a tradition of making a Halloween themed dress each year and this years turned out super cute! Spotlight always has the best themed fabric and it is often better quality than their normal stuff! For this weeks challenge, I made up three costumed looks! Can you guess what they are? I won't give it away and I enjoyed putting together these looks. Even though they are super basic costumes, they turned out super cute. Now I wish I had a fun Halloween party to go to :(

One Year Challenge Week 12: AZ-USA

Another brand focused challenge week! What on earth is happening? I guess we will get a stack of them out the way early on in the challenge. I feel like AZ-USA is a brand I don't really care much about in the Style Boutique games. I've never been a huge fan of it and the bold/cool style isn't my kind of scene. Like I don't dislike the brand and I do use it quite often, it just isn't one I mess around with. For my AZ-USA looks, I went with items that had a new marked next to them meaning I'd never use them before. The first outfit could pass as a rock outfit as it has that kinda edge to it however I feel the hat is very AZ-USA. No idea why I went with a bikini look for the second one and I mainly wanted to try out this matching bikini top and skirt combo. We totally need a swimwear brand in the game just saying. The third outfit is a my favourite and is the usual feel I try to go for when creating bold looks. They always end up looking rather glam/flirty as I tend to use the same items from the brand.

Crayon Pop The Streets Go Disco - Mini Album Review (Australian Edition)

Looking back at all the music reviews that I have done Marzipan Wonderland, I'm always amazed at how I haven't gone through all my Crayon Pop releases yet! I have a large number of them in my collection and today we will be looking at one of their mini albums - The Streets Go Disco!

The Streets Go Disco was released in September 2013 and was released in a few different versions. Each member had their own version but none of those are the one I shall be reviewing today. This particular CD is actually the Australian edition released through JB Hi-Fi stores in 2013. Back when the mini album was released, Crayon Pop came to Australia for a fun promotional tour and the stores stocked this CD. I remember shattered at the time as I didn't have the means to travel to Sydney where they were promoting and that would've been the coolest thing ever! At least I was able to buy their CD in person at a store! I recall it cost about $9.99 which is the common price for CDs in JB Hi-Fi. The edition of The Streets Go Disco that I have came with the following contents:
  • CD - 8 track mini album
  • Jewel case
  • Lyrics booklet

The cover for this edition has the members in their famous jump pose whilst wearing their helmet outfits. Everyone who was into K-Pop during this time knew this outfit! This cover is used as the digital cover for this mini album and the physical versions released in Korea have different covers. The back cover showcases the track listing for the album in lovely large print. There is some production information listed as well which is quite fascinating. Crayon Pop was promoted in Australia through a deal with Sony Music which is the big music company over here. The idea was to increase the market for Korean singers as Psy was popular at the time. It didn't really go anywhere and nowadays you can only really find boy groups in music stores. The back of this cover does make me laugh though as it lists bandit.fm on it and that brings back old memories. I had an account on there for years and I brought more music through there than iTunes!

One Year Challenge Week 11: Chorale Prelude

Why not post another week with a bag focused brand? It is my challenge rules after all! I have no idea why my random generator system decided on this combination but hey, it lets us compare the two brands. Chorale Prelude focuses more on feminine and girly bag pieces with Chorale being the sister brand. I always spell the brand name wrong and I've had many people correct me over the years. I always write it as 'chorale perlude' because of my dyslexia and honestly I never notice until people point it out! I do the same thing with the word clearance at work, there must be so many receipts out there with the word 'clerance' on it because of the way I type on the register keyboards haha. Anyway onto the outfits which are very classy and fit into day themes like the ARIANNA outfits. The first lovely purple outfit is perfect for that business meeting with a cute barrel bag, then we have a fun study preppy look with a large bag perfect for all those study supplies and finally a cute date look with a dainty clutch. Interesting how all three of these looks ended up using clothing items new to the Styling Star game. How bizarre how that worked out!
