November Favourites

I'm finally here with the November favourites and apologies for the late post as I've had things on every day since the start of the December. Found some time to quickly update you on my favourites for the month of November which was an eventful one! Had a power outage for a long time due to some insane stormy weather which they said was a mini cyclone. Now we don't get cyclones in the part of Australia that I live in so it was pretty serious. Took out a huge amount of trees around my area and they're almost all been cleaned up now.

Quite a busy month for me workwise as we have a big Black Friday style sale as most retailers do in Australia. The shops here like to keep extending them out and some even start at the start of November now instead of just the one Friday. I did pick up some great bargains myself which was mainly beauty products and electronics. I won't post about my gaming favourites as I just didn't have time to play any games! I skipped my normal gaming meetup with friends as I had to work for the Black Friday sales. I will hopefully get the Style Boutique Shopdo and Caprice Chalet updates up this week. December is the busiest month for me so it can get difficult to update the blog.

Beauty

Ended up placing two orders of beauty products for Black Friday. Brought a bunch of Colourpop items which are on the way to me now. Took advantage of their great 30% deal and found enough items to get the free shipping to Australia. Hopefully that shouldn't be too far away and I'll see it at my parcel locker soon! The other order was from Revolution Beauty I ordered it on the 26th and received it on the 29th which is insane shipping wise for this time of year. Here are some of the products I brought minus two eyeshadow brushes which are pretty boring. So far I've tried out the Glam Balm Tropic Baby Pineapple, Party Pets Lip Gloss and the Curl Elevation Mascara. All are totally amazing especially the mascara which actually makes my lashes look the way I like. The Glam Balm are always good quality and I love the glitter of the lip gloss.

Music

I actually went to a concert this month which is rare for me. I'm not much of a concert person but I saw randomly one day that Five was touring in Australia. Like omg really? I just had to go and the tickets were super cheap! It was absolutely amazing and well worth it. The crowd looked like they were having a good time and there was definitely a demographic to the audience. Women in the 30's I'd describe it as but that is because we all were the perfect age to like Five when they were popular in the late 1990's early 2000's. It was truly a concert I will remember forever and it was crazy to be able to hear their songs played in 2022 live.

October Favourites

It really doesn't feel like October here as the weather has been rather bizarre. Most days the temperature is below 20 degrees and it is even going to snow in some parts of Australia this week. Probably the coldest October I've recalled for a while and it is hard to believe back in 2008 it was 40 degrees in October. I hope the warmer weather comes soon along with some reprieve from the rain. Like the rain is great because we need it but there has been a lot of bad flooding recently. Not where I live as I don't live near the Murray River or any large bodies of water. Hopefully it will get better soon!

Gaming

Been playing Style Boutique mainly along with some MODEL debut2 #nicola. I've been reading most of the month so I don't play many games. I have updated my Shopdo and my Caprice Chalet which I'll post on here for people to visit. Man remember back when I used to update my Shopdo every Monday? Where on earth did I find the time to do that every week!?!

Beauty

Got some lovely new items from Revolution Beauty including this Creator Hydra Pigment Palette. I've been interested in graphic liner palettes recently and this was the first one I've seen for sale near me. Picked it up but haven't figured out how to use it yet. Hopefully the pigments will be nice and vibrant. Everything else was lip glosses because I'm obsessed with Revolution lip products. I go through them pretty quick so it's great being able to try out lots of different ones. Also waiting on a ColourPop order to arrive this week which is exciting.

Music

Lately I've just been listening to random albums in my car and my favourite has definitely been Savage Garden's self titled album. Now back in the day when this band was promoting and quite popular, I wasn't into them at all and generally avoided their stuff. Plus I was younger so it wasn't really in my zone compared to the Spice Girls or Five. But my workmate got me onto the band and now I love this album. It's so good and I listen to it on repeat all the time.

Make-Up Haul - Revolution Beauty & ColourPop

My 2022 has been totally obsessed with purchasing make-up and I've become hooked on it! Years ago I used to wear make-up all the time but stopped for a while. Now in my current work position, it is easier for me to wear it each day. So I just started collecting items here and there and suddenly I've picked up quite a few! In the last month or two, I've brought a nice selection and it seemed like a fun blog post to write about each one! Revolution Beauty would be my top brand and it only takes one look at my collection to figure that out. At first I was purchasing it at Priceline whenever I visited a store and since their range is quite small, I decided to try purchasing from the Revolution website. It is a great site to use and I'll write a review at the end of the post!

Starting off with some lip products and this has always been something I've never had much luck finding the perfect product. When I was a teenager, it was always the old Lipsmackers or whatever lip gloss you received as a gift. Then I was using whatever lip balm I brought at the shop even if I hated it. Like I'd paid for it so I wanted to use it all up. On my first Revolution Beauty order, I brought the Fruity Pebbles Lip Oil and I was instantly hooked! It is so hydrating and I love how easier it is to apply. The scent I got was lemon-lime and sadly it was on sale so I couldn't find the other scents anymore for purchase. Since I liked the first lip product I got, on my second order I brought the Glam Balm in Coco Nutty Coconut, Cocoa Pebbles Lip Gloss in Hoppy and The Aristocats Marie Lip Gloss in Berloiz. All of these are amazing and have lovely scents. Perfect for popping in my bag and I do apply it a few times during the day.

My main make-up obsession is eyeshadow palettes and I have no idea why I'm so addicted to them. It started with a few and now I have stacks! I do actually use them all and cycle them so I'm not always using the same one. I already had the Joey palette from the Friends x Revolution collaboration from Priceline and found the Chandler one on sale on the Revolution website. The shades are totally me as I love bright fun colours. I kinda have a love hate relationship with this palette as it is super pretty but turns out it is super pale! The lighter shades like Hello Mr Bing and Erica barely show even with primer. Tulsa is too die for though! I like all the palettes in the Friends collection, but I haven't picked anymore up as the shades are similar to palettes I already have.

May Favourites

The weather we have been experiencing during this last week of May has been very winter like. It has been raining quite heavy the last two days and one part of the city even got flooded. I went to town yesterday and luckily I got home before the bad storm hit. Anyway enough weather talk, let's get onto the favourites for the month of May!

Stationery

Thought I'd start with this topic as it seems to be all I spend my money on lately. There are no good sticker shops in the centre where I work so whenever I go to another shopping centre, it's always a treat to find them. There's a new chain called Mint My Desk here in Australia and it has some super cute stationery! Spent some time looking around the shop and I ended up getting this notepad which features review pages. Thought it would be a fun start to my notepaper collection for journaling. The MARU seals were from Daiso which I had actually been to a few days earlier. The second photos shows my first Daiso haul where I picked up some new things I hadn't seen there before. I did go to the Daiso in the city yesterday and their sticker section was lacking. Seems that the one closer to me is the better one.

Another random thing I got this month was this adorable Legally Blonde Pop Vinyl! I saw them for pre-order months ago and put my name down instantly. Usually I don't collect Pops but when I see one that is my style I always pick them up. Legally Blonde is one of my favourite movies so I just had to get this one! Some of my Pops I keep in the box however this one looks way better out of the box.

I Heart Revolution has brought out a new collaboration with Dr Seuss and I couldn't help myself when I saw it in Priceline. The stores here are only stocking a few products from the line so I only got the Oh! The Places You'll Go eyeshadow palette currently. I quite like Revolutions eyeshadows and this one is great! I tend to use the glitter pigments the most and they stay put for long days when fixed with primer. I have a few of the brands palettes now and I'm looking forward to the Powerpuff Girls one when it hits Priceline stores.

Gaming wise I still haven't been playing much in recent weeks. I've just kind of lost interest and there are other activities I like to spend my time on. Does anyone else experience that? Like you just grow out of something or get bored of it? I feel like happens to me with games every so often. If only the Nintendo Switch had more fashion style games, then I'd definitely be more interested. Most of the games posts on here will generally be backlog photos as I have a good selection of images to work through.

Music

Sad news with Japan Post increasing their shipping fees which means it makes it even more difficult to import from Japan for me now. The last two times I ordered stuff, the shipping was pretty rough and this has made it even more costly. I think from now on I'll be taking a hiatus from purchasing Japanese CD's due to cost. Might go back to purchasing Korean releases as they are easier for me to obtain. This isn't the end however as I will still be posting reviews of my collection on here! Hoping to get through a big chunk of the collection by the end of the year.
