February Favourites

A few days late for the monthly favourites as it has been a hectic start to March. Didn't even realise we were at the end of February until I had to start writing March as the month. Lucky I have a job that requires writing the date quite often otherwise I'd have no idea what month it is. We had some great weather lately as it has been ideal summer weather. Not crazy hot but still warm. Love being able to wear shorts all the time and loose tank tops. Hopefully this type of weather stays around for a while as I'm not a fan of winter. Starting off this post with these cute stickers I picked up at Daiso recently! The store near me has actually been stocking some new sticker styles which is surprising! The prices went up to $3.30 which is kind of pricey for what you get compared to online whoever they are very pretty. I have the one in the middle in the colour pink but had never seen this cream colour set before.

Gaming

Not much happening this month besides playing random games on my switch. I've been super into the Faircroft Antiques series and almost finished my second game in the series. Picked them up during a sale and they are quite fun games. Plus I can get plenty of gameplay out of them over the course of a few weeks. Also been playing lots of solitare and random pet games on the switch too.

Music

So I ended doing something I didn't think I would do and brought some items on Yahoo Auctions. I wasn't planning on buying CD's from Japan for a while however I realise it was the only way I could get certain m.o.v.e albums. They were only available in Japan and luckily I was able to find the three I was after. Still thinking about some other things I want to pick up and will update when the parcel arrives. I'm trying to order albums/singles that I cannot get on iTunes here and looking for albums that are harder to find.

May Favourites

The weather we have been experiencing during this last week of May has been very winter like. It has been raining quite heavy the last two days and one part of the city even got flooded. I went to town yesterday and luckily I got home before the bad storm hit. Anyway enough weather talk, let's get onto the favourites for the month of May!

Stationery

Thought I'd start with this topic as it seems to be all I spend my money on lately. There are no good sticker shops in the centre where I work so whenever I go to another shopping centre, it's always a treat to find them. There's a new chain called Mint My Desk here in Australia and it has some super cute stationery! Spent some time looking around the shop and I ended up getting this notepad which features review pages. Thought it would be a fun start to my notepaper collection for journaling. The MARU seals were from Daiso which I had actually been to a few days earlier. The second photos shows my first Daiso haul where I picked up some new things I hadn't seen there before. I did go to the Daiso in the city yesterday and their sticker section was lacking. Seems that the one closer to me is the better one.

Another random thing I got this month was this adorable Legally Blonde Pop Vinyl! I saw them for pre-order months ago and put my name down instantly. Usually I don't collect Pops but when I see one that is my style I always pick them up. Legally Blonde is one of my favourite movies so I just had to get this one! Some of my Pops I keep in the box however this one looks way better out of the box.

I Heart Revolution has brought out a new collaboration with Dr Seuss and I couldn't help myself when I saw it in Priceline. The stores here are only stocking a few products from the line so I only got the Oh! The Places You'll Go eyeshadow palette currently. I quite like Revolutions eyeshadows and this one is great! I tend to use the glitter pigments the most and they stay put for long days when fixed with primer. I have a few of the brands palettes now and I'm looking forward to the Powerpuff Girls one when it hits Priceline stores.

Gaming wise I still haven't been playing much in recent weeks. I've just kind of lost interest and there are other activities I like to spend my time on. Does anyone else experience that? Like you just grow out of something or get bored of it? I feel like happens to me with games every so often. If only the Nintendo Switch had more fashion style games, then I'd definitely be more interested. Most of the games posts on here will generally be backlog photos as I have a good selection of images to work through.

Music

Sad news with Japan Post increasing their shipping fees which means it makes it even more difficult to import from Japan for me now. The last two times I ordered stuff, the shipping was pretty rough and this has made it even more costly. I think from now on I'll be taking a hiatus from purchasing Japanese CD's due to cost. Might go back to purchasing Korean releases as they are easier for me to obtain. This isn't the end however as I will still be posting reviews of my collection on here! Hoping to get through a big chunk of the collection by the end of the year.

April Favourites

Cannot believe April has come to an end, that month just seemed to go on forever! I feel like I didn't do much and then I feel like I did too much. It was super busy at work and hopefully will die down now. Honestly I'm not sure what to write in this month's favourites as I didn't recall much I did outside of work. I haven't been playing any video games at all as I've just lost interest currently. Maybe if my local Nintendo club starts back up, it might inspire me a bit. We had to put meetings on hiatus due to the pandemic and it's never started back up again. I do miss going into town to them as it was fun to check out all the niche stores and the local book chain as re-opened in a larger heritage building and I'm dying to check it out! Someday this month I might make the trip into town as I thinking I might need some buttons from a sewing store that is only in town.

I've been super into journaling during April and trying to do it everyday. Last month I posted about the new bullet journal I brought from Aliexpress and it is amazing! The quality of the paper is outstanding and I love how there is no bleed through. Well worth it and if I fill this one up quick, I'll get another one. I'm thinking of maybe trying a Hobonichi next year as I want to get more serious with this hobby but they are so expensive to import here. This week a large order from Aliexpress arrived which is where I buy most of my craft supplies. I seriously need to cut back on the stickers as I cannot close the box I store some of them in currently! This lot was just too cute and will be put to good use.

Music

Only one new CD this month as I'm trying to cut back my collection. But I've been looking for Britney Spears' Blackout album for years and never had much luck. Well I was at Salvo's yesterday and guess what? It was there! I couldn't believe it as I've never seen it anywhere and I've been looking in Op Shops for a few years now. Super excited as I used to own the album and somehow lost it one day. Nice addition to the collection and I think that might be one of the last Britney albums I need. Anyway, I'll end this month's favourites with some songs I've been enjoying lately. See you in May!

December Favourites

OMG the last week has been an absolute nightmare and thank heavens I have three days off. Everything is just pure chaos because of the pandemic outbreaks combined with the insanity of post Christmas sales. So glad it's finally over for now but who knows what next week will hold. At least the end of December is here which means it's time for my monthly favourites!

Random Stuff

Bit of assorted items now that I didn't really know where to fit in elsewhere. Picked up a selection of cute items during this month that I wanted to share. First was this adorable Winnie the Pooh Pop Vinyl that I couldn't help myself at getting. It's just too cute!!! I'm not a big Disney fan in the movie sense as I'm more into the theme park side. But I'm a sucker for Winnie the Pooh branded items and that's why I couldn't resist this one. There was also one where he has a pyjama outfit on and is reading a book. I'm trying to not tempt myself and get that one too :(

Got a bunch of new stickers this month after me saying that I'll cut back. I have a decent collection already but the Black Friday sales on Aliexpress and other stores hooked me in. Just took a photo of all the ones I got and I was pleased with all of these. Managed to get a good selection of different sizes and found some great small sized ones on Aliexpress as they can be hard to find. I can't get to Daiso anymore due to the pandemic so it was nice to find a new supplier of smaller stickers. The other items I got online where these amazing patches and how beautiful are they? I've been collecting patches for a while for a future project and knew these would be a great addition once I saw them. The Shiba with the fan is so adorable!

Gaming

During the course of December, I've been posting a Style Boutique challenge called the Basics Challenge! It is almost over and it was an enjoyable time. You can find all the outfits over on the challenge page here and the last outfit will be posted tomorrow. It's crazy how the challenge went one day over the number of days in December. It would've been perfect if it matched up!

October Favourites

October has been a wonderful month for me and I felt like I actually got a lot of stuff done this month. More personal things and it was busy at work so time went pretty quick. Even had a week off which was great and now I'm recharge for the busy holiday season! I couldn't think of anything super exciting for this months favourites so I'll post a few random things I've been enjoying. First off is this *NSYNC Pop Vinyl I found at Zing! Last year I saw all the other members except Justin at the Zing store near my work but I didn't get any of them. Recently my friends and I went into a different store that had a Pop Vinyl clearance table and there he was. And only $5! What a deal!

Gaming

Been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons a fair amount lately and I've gotten back into it. I think the announcement of the new update got me interested in the game again and all the snow melted in the game! I just don't like playing in winter much because of the snow and I'm looking forward to the summer season so I can catch some bugs. Preordered some packs of the Amiibo Series 5 cards and should get them next week. Fingers crossed for some villagers I've been wanting to get like Dom the sheep!

Stationery

I'm waiting for a number of parcels to get delivered with new stickers and I did receive one in October. It had a few items in it but these stickers were just the cutest thing ever! Haven't been able to get to Officeworks to stock up on pens. Nowadays when I write, I'm always trying to use gel pens as I find the ink just flows the best for me. Normal pens hurt my hand too much as I damaged the nerves in my fingers/hand a few years ago. At work, I get a lot of customers commenting on my bad handwriting and getting angry at me. It makes me rather annoyed as it's usually busy and it's not my fault I busted my nerves. At least some apologised after I explained why I write like that but I wish people wouldn't say things like that. I would use my own pen at work but the only times I write are quick moments for customer details or phone calls.

Daiso Haul - Finally Washi Tape!

It finally happened! Daiso restocked their washi tape sets! I'll get more into the washi tape journey later on in the post. Looks like my closest Daiso got a whole bunch of more stock in which I wasn't expecting. I was excited at all the stock they got in during my last Daiso trip post and couldn't believe it when I saw they got more in. Here are all the items I picked up and this was all about $15.

I have been searching for ages for this particular item and they must've just got them back in. The item is this great set of washi tape that comes a number of colours and patterns. I brought a set when Daiso first opened a store here in the city and could never find it again. So when I was visiting the store this month thinking it would just be the same stock they had in last time I went which was just after their restock, I found the tape! I was so happy as I love this type of washi tape due to its thin size and you get a good range of patterns in one pack.

The remainder of the items were stickers of course as Daiso is my go-to for stickers. I picked up a few sets that I passed on during my last visit. First up are these gorgeous stickers that feature a brown background and cute drawings. I didn't have anything like this in my collection yet so that's why I picked them up. Decent size and you get two sheets in the packet! The 2 sheet sets are getting harder to find in Daiso so it was good to find some.

Daiso Trip & Sticker Haul!

A miracle happened and Daiso finally got stock in!!! I've been visiting the store over the past year and it seems the company got a big shipment of stock in. The store I visited was packed full of stock and I even saw some items I've haven't seen for ages. I could've spent ages just going through everything but I restrained myself and didn't buy too much. The main purpose of the visit was to stock up on stickers and Daiso did not disappoint in the sticker department! There was even some I'd never seen before! I shall share my haul in this post along with all the other stickers I've acquired lately. First let's take a look at what Daiso has on offer!

Gotta check out the snacks of course! I wish there was a Daiso closed to my workplace so I could eat the cookies & cream and choc banana flavours all the time. Once I tried the hundreds and thousands flavour and it was too die for! Never been able to find it again as I believe it's limited edition. The snack sections at Daiso have shrunk over time and you need to go to the city store to get the better range. I tend to stick to the Pocky or biscuits however Daiso does stock the Poppin' Cookin' sets which are fun. When I made my purchase today, the sales assistance didn't ask if I wanted Koala cookies. They must've run through their supply as they always ask you to buy them.

So many snacks!

Next up was the check out the stationery section for washi tape. I couldn't locate any so maybe they didn't get any in this shipment. I brought a nice set from the store once that had 10 different styles in the pack and I've been searching for it since! No luck so far but hopefully they will get it back one day as there was a green version of the set I want to get. Daiso did have these amusing animal notebooks on display and I've never seen anything like this. It was like a weird squishy cover and everything about them is just so weird. I don't buy any notebooks from Daiso as I'm not a fan of the paper in most of them. I used to buy all my stationery from the Morning Glory stores which stocked Korean brands but they all closed ages ago (still sad about it). Nowadays I get all my notebooks cheap from work as I go through so many and you know, staff discount is a huge selling point haha.

Over in the craft section, there isn't anything too exciting. I usually check out this section to see if Daiso has anything unique or crafty hack things. The pom pom maker looked interesting but I have no use for it. There wasn't any new needle felting stuff either, just the same old stuff I already have. The knitting markers looked cute due to the pastel colour. Mine are fluorescent colours and are super easy to use compared to these. The Disney stamp sets aren't new besides the Zootopia one. I hadn't seen that design yet so it must be a recent release. I have the pink cat one on the right already and a Winnie the Pooh one that is an old style. Stamps are something that are fun to collect, but I find myself not using them too much now. I really should try to incorporate them into my notebooks more.

July Favourites

Can you believe August is finally here? July seemed to be a really long month for me. I guess it was because we had a lockdown and I lost track of the days. I kept working the entire time due to working in online logistics and it was nice to hang out with my co-workers on a casual basis. Luckily the lockdown was only short and everything was able to reopen but with restrictions. It feels like I did a lot of things this month so I'll get right to it!

Gaming
I brought a bunch of Sims 4 expansion packs early this month as I felt like getting back into the game. I've actually been enjoying it a lot and I don't mind Sims 4. A lot of people complain about it, but I find it fun and it's nice to see something different to the previous games. It gets boring with the same thing over and over again and it's interesting to see the unique packs the developers are bringing out. I've been playing the Eco Lifestyle pack the most and been working on different careers. My sim kept getting set on fire by their toilet though which was silly. I think I upgraded it too much so it kept causing fires every time someone used it. Sold it straight away after the third fire!

Reading
This month I've been obsessed with reading and it's all I think about! When I was at school, I wasn't much of a reader and usually avoided it outside of reading sessions in class. After year 12, a friend got my into the Janet Evanovich books which were the only thing I really read for years. But since I got my Kindle, I've been really into it! Like I search for free kindle books and read those. All the ones I've read so far have been great and I even brought more in some series! I quite enjoyed the Bennet Brothers series from Staci Hart and I'm starting the second book in the series soon! Other than the Kindle, I use the Overdrive App with my local library so I can read at work or on the go. The app has a decent selection and I've read some good comic books on there especially Sarah Scribbles who I actually have the first book from.

TWICE Haul!

Received a rather exciting package this week full of K-Pop goodies! Finally caved in and brought a photo album for my photocards. I got bored of them just sitting in a box so I picked up one off Aliexpress. Whilst I was purchasing it, I decided to grab a some other items from the seller and they are all TWICE themed! Here's a quick look at all the items!

The main part of this order was the photo album and I went with the standard sized album which holds 240 cards. It's designed for the normal Korean sized photo cards and only a few of Japanese ones fitted. So I shall have to get a bigger album for all my Japanese cards which is mostly Afterschool as I have heaps of those. When I put my photocards into the album, I left gaps so I could see the back artwork of the cards. It looks lovely and looks great when I have a few cards from a set! I'm not a photocard collector and I've manage to acquire quite a few over the years. Here are some photos of some random pages in my album with the Dreamnote and Momoland pages being my favourites.

June Favourites

All I can say about the end of June if I had a dollar for the amount of times I heard the phrase 'Happy End of Financial Year', I could fund my sticker addiction for a while. June is a crazy month work wise as people go crazy buying items for their businesses and to claim on tax. The last few days of the month were pretty insane but it's all over now thankfully. Other than that, this month was pretty uneventful as it was very cold and wet so nothing much goes on. It is nice to have rainy days and there has only been a few times where I've felt uncomfortably cold.

There isn't much to cover for this month's favourites as I haven't been up to much besides work and a bit of shopping which is pretty boring. I still wanted to post a monthly favourites so it shall be a quick one. I haven't been playing games very much as I've kind of lost interest at the moment. The Sims is something I've been thinking about lately but just haven't had the time to sit down and play it. Isn't that how it is for everyone when it comes to The Sims haha? You think about playing it, play it for hours straight and then never touch it again for years! Honestly I've been spending more time reading on my Kindle than playing video games. I'm obsessed with that thing and it's got me back into reading. It's always been something I've wanted to do more and the Kindle has made it so much easier to find books to read and carry around.

My last blog post was about my sticker haul and I've actually gotten a few since that post! I just go through so many that I'm always picking up new ones. It's getting hard to find small schedule sized ones for my small journal. Heading to the shopping centre this weekend that has Daiso so hopefully they've updated their sticker section. Ordered a bunch of stickers online the other day and I cannot wait to get them! In my last post, I showed some cute girl image stickers I got off Aliexpress and at first I didn't like them and wasn't sure where to use them. But I started two new notebooks for things this month and they were perfect for that! I like the tracing/masking sticker feel they have to them and you get a good variety of images in each pack. I ordered two more sets in my recent Aliexpress haul and one of them is this adorable space themed set!

Music
Now I have actually have something to post here as I've found a few new favourite songs this month. My new music recommendation is clicking on random suggestions on Spotify and it's been great so far! I wanted to get into more J-Pop songs and I've found stacks of new idol groups to listen to. I'm not fussed about hardcore following them and at the moment I'm just into finding new songs to listen to. I'll post a few here that I've been into this month. A few groups I've been into are MAX, Girls2, NMB48 and no3b.

Sticker Haul!

If there is one thing that brightens my day is stickers! And today's post is all about the sticker's I've collected recently. I've kind of got a bit obsessed with stickers this year and place them all over my journals, work stationery and electronics. All of the stickers shown in this post were purchase from Daiso, Aliexpress or Spotlight. Let's take a look shall we?

First up are all the Daiso items I got! Glad I picked these up last month as I went to two Daiso stores recently and both were pretty lacklustre sticker wise. One store didn't have any! The second store had shrunk it's section down which made me sad as I love going to that store to stock up and it was the whole reason for my trip. Anyway I was happy with all of these cuties! I love the Daiso stickers as they are small in size and ideal for my journal. They also come in many fun styles and images. I think I have every style of the schedule sticker available here. The hedgehog stickers in the top left corner are adorable and this was actually the second pack of this I've brought. I really like these ones as you get two sheets in one packet. I rarely see these two packs anymore :(

I just had to get these adorable cat stickers as a few of the kitties reminded me of cats I watch on Youtube. The tall standing up white and back cat reminded me of cat_urgry on Instagram and they are also on youtube! This cat is like the best suggestion I've ever had on Youtube. I'll post my favourite video on theirs at the end of this post. Some of the cats also reminded me of Mejoo Cats which is my favourite youtube channel. Hyuji is my bias then Monji is a close runner up. But I love all the cats honestly

At first I wasn't sold on these shell stickers but they are gorgeous and feel lovely to use. They are a masking sticker so they feel different to plastic ones. Excuse my bad terminology, I'm not a sticker expert just a hoarder! I actually brought a second pack of these yesterday as I had almost used up my first lot.

April Favourites

Yet again another month has flown by super quick and means it's time for another monthly favourites! I actually did a stack of things this month most of which was decluttering belongings. One day I was just like 'I feel like I own too much stuff' and I started clearing out things. A large bag of clothes for younger relatives, a few bags for the op-shop of various items and sold a bunch of gaming stuff off to friends. The biggest clean out item was books and DVD's. Over the years, I've gained quite a collection of DVD's but I stepped back to take a look at them all and thought 'jeez I never watch like 60% of this stuff'. So I spent ages watching a whole bunch of DVD's to determine whether they spark joy or not and ended up getting rid of like 50 DVD's! The books were much easier as I decided to get a Kindle so I could read more on the go and store them digitally rather than physically. I had all the Janet Evanovich novels which took up heaps of space so I donated them all to various op-shops and just kept my favourite series of her's which is the Wicked Series. Seriously Janet? When are we going to get the next book in the series?!?! I've been waiting years! Also got rid of a lot of other random books that I was never going to use and will hold off buying anymore physical ones. Here's a photo of my lovely Kindle that I'm obsessed with! I got the Paperwhite and it's so lightweight and easy to use. The Kindle store has stacks of books about theme parks which I'm super excited to read. My current book is Action Park: Fast Times, Wild Rides, and the Untold Story of America's Most Dangerous Amusement Park and I've been enjoying it!

Also got a bunch of new stickers! I actually got quite a few this month and I'll probably post a small haul next month. Here's a quick photo of all the ones I got at Daiso last week! The first Daiso I went to didn't have many stickers at all or anything exciting really. But then I went to the one closer to my house and they had so many!!! Not sure why the original store isn't carrying much stock, but I'm going there again tomorrow so I'll check out to see if the selection has improved.

Gaming

I've decided to stick with digital games from now on (Style Boutique will be the exception if it ever comes out on Switch) and cancelled my pre-order for Pokemon Snap. I didn't want to buy another physical game until I played through current ones. Just been playing some SELFY COLLECTION which I'm so close to completing the entire game. It's taking ages to grind money to buy all the items and it's kinda boring. I only really do it when I don't want to think about stuff and just press buttons. One game that did just get released that I never thought I'd see is Castaway Paradise on the Switch!! I played this game a lot on Steam ages ago and couldn't believe it when I saw it appear on the eShop. Had some eShop credit from a gift so I picked it up and it's still charming. It's pretty much the same game and it's not something you'd play for ages. I just play a bit here and there. Much easier to make money at the start as I know the tricks. I hope it does well on the Switch as the game is fun and it's nice to support indie developers.

Music

Have to admit that I did clear out some CD"s this month. None of my Korean or Japanese pop music ones of course! My CD storage was over flowing and unfortunately I couldn't keep somethings. I brought a stack of CD's back in March at an op-shop but my collection was becoming a bit too much to store so back to the op-shop went a portion of them. Mainly things that I wasn't attached to and wasn't hardcore collecting. Plus I always burn the CD's into iTunes so I can still listen to the songs!! The cases were pretty destroyed as well which is common with op-shop CD's.

November Favourites

Can't decided if this month went fast or slow. It seems like ages ago that it was the 1st of November or maybe the last few weeks have really dragged. The busy Christmas season has hit and it's mental with stock and orders everywhere. A lot of people have been saying the postal system has slowed down in Australia and parcels are backed up. But I've been getting my online orders rather quickly and we've only a had few instances at work hearing about parcels getting stuck at borders which are closed for COVID-19. Anyway onto some favourites for November!

Gaming

Mainly just playing New Horizons this month and my island is almost finished! My friends helped me out with getting certain items and I finally have the entire garden gnome set. Haven't even started on my house yet haha. It's always the last thing I do and might spend some time soon thinking about what I want to theme my rooms around. Speaking of Animal Crossing, my friend got me this Animal Crossing puzzle as a birthday gift. How amazing is this? I didn't know they existed until I received this! I cannot wait to do it as I quite enjoy puzzles and it's even better cause it's Animal Crossing!

When I built a new computer recently, it didn't come with a SD Card slot so I haven't been able to get new photos from any of my games. I looked at a few SD card readers but the reviews were awful so I didn't get them. Most readers now are USB-C so I'm going to most likely get one of those and an adapter for USB-A to connect to the PC. Then I finally get all my lovely screenshots from New Horizons and my 3DS again.

Music

Brought a bunch of new CD's on Black Friday as JB HiFi finally had their 20% off music sale. Picked up the standard album version of Blackpink's album but I haven't had a chance to listen to it just yet as I've been busy from Black Friday hilariously enough. Waiting on a bunch of CD's to come from Japan that I'm very excited to receive whenever they arrive. I feel like I've listened to a billion songs this month as November went on forever. I've been listening to a lot of AKB48 lately as well as Apink. The later is a group I never really listened to much and I quite like Apink's style of music. It reminds me of older Korean Pop music and stuff from the 2nd generation. It's been so busy lately I haven't been able to listen to any new songs from girl groups as there has been a fair few recently. One thing I have been doing is cranking Girls Generation's Into The New World loudly at work so hopefully everyone who has no clue about k-pop can appreciate that gem haha.

Stationery

Visited Daiso this month which resulted in a adorable haul of course. I wish they'd build a Daiso closer to my workplace so I can go all the time :( The two closest to me are in shopping places I rarely visited, I used to work in the same centre years ago before it opened. I picked up these cute stickers and some sticky notes as I wanted to get a few for my planner.

kikki.K 2019 Sweet Weekly Diary Review

A new year means a new diary! In 2019, I shall be using the Weekly Diary from kikki.K in the Sweet design. Last year I had the same diary and I've posted a review of that one here for you to check out! The 2019 Sweet Weekly Diary has the same layout as last years diary and a new sweet style design has been used for the diary. The 2019 design features pastel themed designs themed around animals, house objects and activities. The colour tones for 2019 are beautiful blues, dusty pinks, browns and greys.

I brought my 2019 Diary back in October last year when it was available in a Festive Gift Set. In the set you got a few extra little goodies with the diary. Along with the diary, you get three magentic bookmarks featuring illustrations from the Sweet line and one black pen. I've tried out the pen and it's quite good quality. Not the type of pen I'd use all the time but it is comfortable and the ink flows well. I've been using it in my cash book along with one of the bookmarks. The bookmarks are amazing and so helpful in marking pages in my cash book and diary. The magnet is strong but not too heavy to pull the pages and they make a cute look when they peak out the top of the diary. All the items came in this luxious red box which I reused as packaging for a Christmas present.

The 2019 Weekly Diary from the Sweet line comes with the following contents:

  • Protective plastic jacket
  • Sticker book
  • Bookmark
  • Two ribbon bookmarks
  • Yearly view
  • Monthly view (December 2018 - December 2019)
  • Weekly view (December 2018 - December 2019)
  • Perforated To Do lists and Shopping Lists
  • Wish List Page

Daiso Adventures & Haul

Visited Daiso a few times in the recent weeks and picked up some new cute items. So I thought I'd put them all into one big post to share what I found. First off, Daiso finally got my all time favourite stickers back in stock! I've been waiting to see if they got them back in and they finally did. I was so happy when I saw them so I picked up two packets this time so I have enough to last me a while.

Found them!

Daiso had some other adorable stickers in stock over the last few weeks. The store has this range called Animal Party that is available in a variety of items such as post-its, stickers, note paper and letter sets. I took a photo of the Shiba Inu ones as that breed of dog is my all time favourite animal. Haven't picked these up yet as whilst the illustration is cute, it's not the normal style of Shiba illustration that I'm drawn towards.

kikki.K 2018 Diary Review

Since it is now halfway through 2018, I thought it was the perfect time to write a review of the diary I have been using this year. For years I used a Rilakkuma scheduler from Taiwan bu unfortunately they stopped making the item so for 2018 I had to find an alternative. This year I've been trying out a new diary from the kikki.K brand and it's just perfect.

The diary I have been using is the 2018 Diary from the Sweet line which was available late last year through kikki.K. Usually I don't shop at kikki.K as it's on the pricier side stationery wise but I needed to get a diary quickly and ended up there. The day I went they were having 20% everything store wide so I picked the diary up for a good deal. I went with the larger sized one as I wanted plenty of space to write in. Whilst I loved the Rilakkuma schedulers, they were quite small and not much room to write more than a few words in some sections.

The 2018 Diary from the Sweet line comes with the following contents and sections:

  • Sturdy plastic cover
  • Sticker book
  • Bookmark
  • Two ribbon bookmarks
  • Yearly Calendar for 2018 and 2019.
  • Monthly View
  • Weekly View
  • Lists for wishlists, movies, websites and books.
  • Restaurants & Bars Page
  • Books Pages
  • Addresses Section
  • International Public Holidays Lists
  • Lined Pages for Notes
  • Blank Pages for Notes
  • Lift-out Shopping & To-Do lists

April Favourites

Can't believe it's time for another monthly favourites post! I feel like I just did the one for March. So here's my monthly favourites for the month of April!

Gaming
This one is easy to work out. I've been playing a lot of Style Boutique visiting different Shopdo's and creating outfits. I've just started doing another outfit challenge which is the 25 Day Outfit Challenge. It's been super fun and you can check out the outfits I've created by checking back through my blog feed. Here's a picture I did post for my Valentine's Date outfit because I accidentally took the picture whilst the Zoom icon was up.

I've also been playing a bit of Disney Magical World and working on my collection in the game. I managed to find the final seed I was missing this month and craft the final wand I needed. This month I had a fair bit of luck finding rare items for crafting such as the Truststone Plate so I was able to create lots of items I was missing for my collection. Somehow lucked out and managed to get a few Starfall Radishes this month which I needed to complete recipes and achieve star medals. So it's been a incredibly lucky month in that game. Still working on completing my collection 100% but will need to wait till new seasonal items come round later on this year.

Stationery
A little while ago, I posted about some items I recently got from Daiso. One of those items was a super adorable sheet of stickers. I've been using them in my scheduler this month and they are just too cute! They're super high quality and I like the small size which allows me to write stuff in the same square as the sticker. I will blog about the scheduler I use soon as it's a great item. I've returned to Daiso since I brought the stickers and they are out of stock now. Hopefully they'll get some new cute ones next time I visit as I quite like their range of stickers. I did get a new stamp set which I'll blog about soon.

Too cute!!

Daiso Haul - Super Cute Stickers!!

A while ago, Daiso finally opened up a store here and it stocks the most amazing stationery! It's quite amusing because nothing has a price tag (apart from sale items) so when I go there with friends and someone asks how much an item is, we always say 'almost $2.80!' Because everything is almost $2.80 which is the same as the other Japanese novelty store in town. Daiso has a good layout but they recently moved some stuff around so the sewing/craft stuff is in a different aisle further away from the stationery stuff now.

During my recent visit to Daiso, I picked up a few stationery items. I actually only went to the store for flash cards but ended up getting two other items as well. So I ended up getting the flash cards, a cute stamp set and a sheet of stickers.

First item is the stickers which are so adorable!! You get a large amount of small sized stickers for a cheap price and the quality is pretty good. The stickers are easy to remove from the backing and stick well to most surfaces. I'm using them in my scheduler/planner which they are the perfect size for. The styles of stickers vary from animals to shapes. The grey kitty ones are my favourites along with the Rilakkuma looking bears.
