Outfit Of The Day - Preppy In Green

I'm back to the blog after a break and what a month or two it has been. It has a been a super rough few weeks in terms of personal and family stuff. Thought posting on the blog might be a nice change of pace and an outfit post from Fashion Dreamer seems like an easy one to do. Hoping to get back to regular blogging soon and I couldn't think of anything exciting to post for the month favourites. I have been playing games on my switch but nothing super thrilling.

This preppy inspired outfit was one that I obsessed with the second I put it on! The best thing about designing clothes in Fashion Dreamer is that you can match the colours perfectly. That has made it easy to create cohesive looking outfits such as this one. Lately I've been into the preppy style and the game has a great selection of skirts that match the image well. Sometimes I feel there are items in Fashion Dreamer that I used to use quite often in Style Boutique. For example berets and this type of heel were favourites of mine. I do have a cardigan in real life that I crocheted that looks similar to this one and it reminded me of it. Super comfy to wear however I wish I put buttons on it as I always want to close it up.

Outfit Of The Day - Polka Party

This month I haven't had much time for updating the blog so this one will be a quick outfit post from Fashion Dreamer. This polka dot dress is one of my favourite styles of dresses in the game and this was one I designed myself. I've been thinking of sewing one like this in real life for myself as I have quite a lot of a cute Halloween print that would like nice in this style. If only I could find the time! The thing I enjoy about creating your own items in Fashion Dreamer is that you can match all the items in the same design scheme. For coordinates like this, I always go for the short socks and pumps. I swear every fashion game I have done this as it just looks perfect every time!

Outfit Of The Day - Wishing For Spring

Waiting for this cold winter to end as the weather has been freezing this year. Some days reached new records for the low temperatures. So I thought to get my mind off the cold, I would dress my Fashion Dreamer muse up in a cute spring inspired outfit. The green tones reminded me of nature and I love how the embroidery on the top matches the skirt. I went with a long sleeve top as it can still be rather cold in months such as September. Took a rare photo at the Photo Egg and the background matched my outfit quite well. I really need to get into taking more photos there and I avoid it as I find it easier to take ones in the cocoon worlds. Definitely on my to-do list to try out more!

Fashion Dreamer Lookits Collection 5 - Pink Is My Favourite Colour Of Course

Did not realise how many screenshots of Lookits I had saved on my Switch until I transferred them all over to my computer. There was a lot! At first I was going to put all the pink toned outfits into one post however it would been quite large. It is easier for me to write smaller blog posts so I will start with this selection of outfits first.

Set my Lookit request to the colour pink as that is my favourite colour and always a favourite colour tone to use in fashion games. In real life, I rarely wear pink so it is nice to be able to use it in a fantasy world. I find in Fashion Dreamer, you get more Lookits with certain colours and pink is definitely one of those colours. Maybe players just find it easier or have more items in that shade.

I received a lovely selection of various looks from many players and everyone did a great job! Quite a few baby-doll inspired looks and some special event items. I loved the quirky styled outfits such as number 4 and 15. I thought they were rather unique and loved the item combinations. Lots of lovely girly and casual outfits which is always a favourite of mine. Received a great selection of new skirts which is my favourite type of clothing item. I found Fashion Dreamer has a good range of them and it is interesting seeing how other players design them. Along with all the other items of course! Big thank you to all the Fashion Dreamer players who sent these lovely Lookits to me!

Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book - Hairstyle Guide

Sitting at home on a Saturday night in this freezing cold weather and I thought I might do some blogging! I was thinking about what to post and thought why not another Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book post? We finally finished the pages detailing the brands recently and now it's onto the other topics of the book!

Today I shall be sharing pictures of the various hair styles featured in the Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book. These are the styles available in the following games: Girls Mode 3 (JPN), New Style Boutique: Fashion Forward (AUS/EUR) and Style Savvy Fashion Forward (NA). The book shows an image on each hairstyle, information on unlocking new styles and general information about hair features in the game.

There are a large variety of styles to choose from and the book divides each one into the following categories: 

• Bob - Short or Medium
• Short
• Medium
• Long
• Updo
• Fringes

Selected hairstyles are available from the beginning of the game however most must be unlocked through game play. This is either done through using certain styles multiple times or talking to special NPCs. Outfit Of The Day - Alternative Selection

I feel like it is a rare occurrence when I post a darker toned outfit as I tend to stick to girly looks. Thought I would try something different with a cute gothic alternative look! I went with a red and black colour scheme for this one and it ended being kind of a mess with all the different patterns. Guess it works though as this type of fashion is about statements and doesn't have to be perfect. The bunnies are an interesting motif for this top and it would be cool if you could change the images on items. I wasn't too sure about the shoes for this outfit and randomly picked these as they felt right. For the hair, I wanted to try out this two-tone style which isn't something I would ever really pick. Swear this is the only time I've used it in the game.

Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book - アップビート Upbeat

It has been a long journey however we are finally here today with the final clothing brand from the Girls Mode 3 Glitter ☆ Coordination Book. The last brand to be posted is アップビート Upbeat and this has been a highly requested one. Many years ago, I posted a Streetflow/Upbeat Guide that contained selected images from the brand but not all the items were included in that blog post. So to finish off this series, here is the pages from the book focusing on the sporty brand Upbeat!

Upbeat is the go-to brand for sporty themed clothes and accessories. It is also known as Streetflow in the Style Boutique/Style Savvy games and sadly the style was removed after Girls Mode 3. The brand and the sport image were not available in Girls Mode 4 (Styling Star in NA/AUS/EUR). At the time when the brand was in the game, I wasn't the biggest fan of the style but grew to love it years later. Sad that it was removed as I feel the sporty image has made a big comeback in recent years and wearing sport clothes on a daily basis is super popular here in Australia.

The brand isn't just focused on the sporty style and features items that fit within other images. These include lively, basic, girly, psychedelic, bold and preppy. I tend to combine sporty with lively quite often as the look of the items can be quite similar and have good colour palettes. If I had to pick an item type that I use the most from Upbeat, it would be pants. I feel like they work well with most sport themed outfits and are easy to combine with things such as an outer. The sneakers are another great item from the brand and I often use those when the colours match an outfit I have in mind.
