Girls Mode 4 キャラぱふぇゲーム Special 2018 WINTER Magazine

Last year I posted about a Girls Mode 3 magazine I brought from Japan. Well I recently received a similar magazine from Amazon Japan so I thought I would share some photos from it. The magazine is a special winter edition of the Chara Parfait magazine which is a magazine targeted at young girls. The title of the magazine is キャラぱふぇゲームSpecial 2018 WINTER and features a section devoted to ガールズモード 4 (Girls Mode 4). Here is the cover of the magazine which features a variety of topics and games. Most of the magazine is about Sumikko Gurashi and even came with a adorable Sumikko Gurashi playing cards set.

The magazine features a cute calendar based off ガールズモード 4 that you can cut out of the magazine. It features 12 months and images of the main idol girls in their promotional material outfits. The back of the calendar has some characters dressed up in new items from the game.

Most of the content in the magazine is about the new features in the game and promoting returning features such as the Hair Salon and Beautician. The magazine is not as detailed as the last one which had a much larger section about the game. It has lots of lovely images of promotional material and honestly I love the Japanese promo material because it's so colourful and matches the feel of the game more than the boring European promotional stuff (which is pretty much just an instagram that gets updated every now and then).

There's a small section about the nails feature at the beautician which is a new feature to the game series. This honestly would've sold me on the game straight away as nails was something I always wanted in the series.

The next few pages have information and pictures of new features in the game and details about the story line. Images of new characters such as Ethan and Sophie are shown as well as details on the Mewtube app. There's even a quick mention of amiibo content and that men's fashion is returning.

There is a wonderful two page spread featuring all the brand representatives from the game. Some are shown wearing new items to the game in their outfits. The representative for Retrobeat is even wearing pants from Streetflow hinting at the fact they've moved to her brand. The outfits the representatives are wearing are the same ones shown in the brand promotional material from Japan when the game was announced.

And that's all for the ガールズモード 4 content in the キャラぱふぇゲーム Special 2018 WINTER magazine. The section was much smaller than the previous issue but still has some excellent content on the game. Girls Mode 4 ガールズモード 4 gets another mention at the end of the magazine where the magazine ranks the games featured.
