September Favourites

No clue how we got to the first day of October and like did September just do super quick? One day it was the start of the month and all of the sudden everyone is talking about it being October this weekend. Maybe I was busy and lost track of time. This monthly favourites won't be super exciting as there wasn't too much going on. 

The other day I was shopping with a friend and came across some interesting things. First was this hilarious Shapes themed Christmas ornament we saw in Typo. They had all kinds of cool ornaments but I thought the Shapes one was the best. There was a Chicken Crimpy version too and I wish there was an Original flavour as that is my favourite one. We also visited the Lego store which I had never been to and I can understand why. The prices are insane in there and I would like to know who is dropping $700 on Lego sets. I mainly wanted to look at the spare pieces they have in there as my old Lego set from the 1990's is missing a few. Turns out you cannot buy individual pieces so I'll look elsewhere. The set-up was to fill a container for I think it was $29.99 for a small cup or $79.99 for a large one. It reminded me so much of the candy containers you can fill up at the cinemas.

Gaming

Haven't played many games this month besides a bit of MODEL debut2 #nicola which I am still in love with. I spend way too much time editing my photos and it takes ages for me to complete a job. The game has opened up to more content now and it has lots of fun styling activities. I will be posting some more MODEL debut2 #nicola play journals in October and one of them talks about clothing items in the game. Which I'll give you a sneak peak at with this awesome backpack item you can purchase. So happy to see these in the game as I always thought they would be great in Style Boutique.

Shopdo Update

December is here and that means a new Shopdo update! I have three new outfits for this month and I went with a Christmas theme for the outfits this month. Kept the same boutique interior as I quite like the blue toned look and my character has another girly outfit on that is one of my personal favourites. Onto the new outfits for this month and first up is a floral themed baby-doll look. I went with this pannier skirt as the green and red tones reminded me of Christmas and the roses are quite merry. This is an ideal baby-doll look as it features many key elements to the style: pannier skirt, gloves, bolero and knee high socks. The second look is a cute Santa inspired outfit featuring girly and baby-doll items. I've been quite interested in overalls and overall style dresses recently in real life so I wanted to create a look similar to them in the game. The final outfit for this month a girly outfit titled Pretty Present and I was inspired by the bows on the clothing items for the name. Shopdo Update - Christmas Themed Boutique

It's Christmas time and my boutique is all decked out in festive items! This week's outfits all feature a festive theme and I went with a red and green colour scheme for the outfits. The first look is a baby-doll coordinate featuring one of the new dresses in Styling Star. This outfit would be perfect for Christmas lunch or dinner in a cooler climate. Probably not here in Australia because our Christmas Day is going to nearly be 40 degrees then Boxing Day is going to be even hotter! No such thing as Christmas sweaters over here because you'd probably get heat stroke if you tried wearing one. The second outfit is titled Christmas Ghost and I went with a girly festive look using one of the new outers to the style. The final outfit is a gothic outfit featuring items from the music note outfits. I thought the musical themed matched the idea of Christmas Carols so that was my inspiration. I love the outfit photos for this week's Shopdo Update because you can perfectly see the Christmas tree and presents lined up in the background. Here's a photo of the Christmas boutique that I will have available for visit for just one week. I went with a fairly simple look as there are not that many Christmas items in Styling Star. The Christmas tree and presents would be the main items then the Christmas Candle and Yule Log on the table. I hung up some tinsel along the walls and a festive wreath as well. Both myself and my lovely assistant have preppy outfits on for the holidays so why not come visit us to celebrate!

Style Boutique 2 Room Address Update: Christmas Lounge

The festive season is here so I have the perfect excuse to break out the Christmas themed Caprice Chalet room! I fell in love with this room after I made it as it's so cozy and perfect for Christmas Eve. You can download the Christmas Lounge in Style Boutique 2 at the room address 180-239-9851.

I quite like the Christmas themed miniatures in Fashion Forward (as well as Styling Star) as I think they are festive yet not too over the top or tacky. It's great that you can hang the tinsel style miniatures from the ceiling to give a room that extra festive touch. The fireplace miniature is the perfect addition to any Christmas room and you can't forget the presents under the tree!
