October Favourites

October has been a wonderful month for me and I felt like I actually got a lot of stuff done this month. More personal things and it was busy at work so time went pretty quick. Even had a week off which was great and now I'm recharge for the busy holiday season! I couldn't think of anything super exciting for this months favourites so I'll post a few random things I've been enjoying. First off is this *NSYNC Pop Vinyl I found at Zing! Last year I saw all the other members except Justin at the Zing store near my work but I didn't get any of them. Recently my friends and I went into a different store that had a Pop Vinyl clearance table and there he was. And only $5! What a deal!

Gaming

Been playing Animal Crossing New Horizons a fair amount lately and I've gotten back into it. I think the announcement of the new update got me interested in the game again and all the snow melted in the game! I just don't like playing in winter much because of the snow and I'm looking forward to the summer season so I can catch some bugs. Preordered some packs of the Amiibo Series 5 cards and should get them next week. Fingers crossed for some villagers I've been wanting to get like Dom the sheep!

Stationery

I'm waiting for a number of parcels to get delivered with new stickers and I did receive one in October. It had a few items in it but these stickers were just the cutest thing ever! Haven't been able to get to Officeworks to stock up on pens. Nowadays when I write, I'm always trying to use gel pens as I find the ink just flows the best for me. Normal pens hurt my hand too much as I damaged the nerves in my fingers/hand a few years ago. At work, I get a lot of customers commenting on my bad handwriting and getting angry at me. It makes me rather annoyed as it's usually busy and it's not my fault I busted my nerves. At least some apologised after I explained why I write like that but I wish people wouldn't say things like that. I would use my own pen at work but the only times I write are quick moments for customer details or phone calls.

Outfit Of The Day - Spring Has Sprung

Lately we have actually been having some lovely spring themed weather! Winter dragged on for ages and the last few weeks have finally had some warmer days. A few days this week were even above 30 degrees! So today's outfit is inspired by the warmer spring weather as I love this type of weather. I went with a cute girly inspired look as girly matches the season of spring perfectly. These gingham tops have been on my mind lately and that was the main piece I used for this look. It looks rather stylish paired with this short skirt and comfy sneakers. Went with some casual plaits for the hairstyle and kept my usual make-up style. This outfit is so bright that it was hard to take photos of!!

Animal Crossing New Horizons Play Journal - The Great Villager Move-Out

Isn't it exciting that Animal Crossing New Horizons will be getting an update? I'm super pumped for it when it occurs in November and I cannot wait! So today I thought it would be perfect for another New Horizons play journal! First off here is Bill who has decided to call Marzipan home and I love this duck so much. I had him in my town in the 3DS game and he was just the cutest! I'd never seen him before in Wild World and just knew I had to have him in New Horizons.

An amusing snapshot of Bob just chilling because that's what Bob does. His design is just perfect and he deserves all the popularity. I found him sitting in this random area of the island making this stare into the distance. I swear there are like 10 photos of this on my switch because I took so many haha. My SD card has so many dumb photos of Bob sitting around which I think is because he's so photogenic with his amusing faces.

Decided to move Annalise off my island as I wasn't that attached to her. Her design is adorable and one of my favourite horse villagers. I decided to let her leave so I could go villager hunting on the random islands and guess who I encountered whilst doing so? Only Annalise of course. I wish the game had some sort of function that didn't let villagers who have recently lived on your island appear. Like maybe have a memory of the last 5 or 10 to leave so you can discover new ones. When I used to play New Leaf, I never saw villagers repeat and that would be great in the switch version.

Outfit of The Day - Fiery Uniform

First outfit post for the month of October and I've gone with a preppy look. As with my other Outfit of The Day posts, I'm experimenting with clothing items I usually avoid in the game. This jacket from Brooke Bridge is an item I feel I haven't used much in Styling Star. Not sure why as the details on it are just gorgeous! Love the striped pattern around the edges and it reminds me of the blazer design my old school has in their current uniform. The top was another item I picked because it reminded me of a school uniform as my old school uniform had a cross-tie just like this one. I wish my school uniform was as fashionable as this but it was more like second-hand items and items way too big so you'd grow into them but never did. The remainder of the outfit is pretty simple with a plaid skirt, nautical earrings and some girly boots to finish the look off! For the hairstyle, I went with a medium cut in this fiery red to match the colours of the jacket and top.

Apink Pink Season - Album Review (Limited Edition B CD+DVD)

This week's music review post is about a group I've never posted about on Marzipan Wonderland and that's Apink! Now Apink is a group I only became interested in within the last year. Over the years, I had songs from the group on my playlists but they were never high on my radar. That was until I took some time to listen to their Japanese discography and I feel in love! Decided to pick up some of the group's Japanese releases during my last Zenmarket haul and they were totally worth it. So today I'll be talking about the wonderful album PINK SEASON ♡

PINK SEASON is Apink's debut Japanese album and it was released in August 2015. The album was released in three editions: Limited Edition A CD+DVD+GOODS, Limited Edition B CD+DVD and a Regular CD Only Edition. I purchased Limited Edition B as it was the only one I could find at the time after months of searching. Japanese releases from the group were difficult to find for a good price when I was looking and I snatched up this listing off Yahoo Auctions. My copy of PINK SEASON has the following contents:
  • CD - 13 track album
  • DVD - Road to 1st Album「PINK SEASON」from Debut
  • Jewel Case
  • OBI strip
  • Lyrics booklet

Loving the design of this album because of course it's my favourite colour PINK! The concept of the album is gorgeous and matches the feel of the group. The outfits were very on point for J-Pop releases around that time and isn't too flashy. The front and back covers have different photos of the girls and I like the posing of the cover. Some Japanese covers can have that strange photoshop placement of members which I find off putting. All the covers of Apink's Japanese discography are a work of art and I love how they kept the 'pink' wording in all the album titles.

On the interior of the album, you will find the CD and DVD. My case was in excellent condition and arrived safely with no damage. This pink shade on the CD is to die for! Very pink! The DVD has a softer white tone to it and both discs have a simple elegant design to them. The case interior lists some production credits to the album and most of these are regarding the DVD contents.

Shopdo Update - October 2021

Another month is upon us which means another Shopdo update is also here! I've stuck with the blue themed boutique for this month as it reminds me of Spring unlike the weather here. It's been non-stop rain and wind for days now! Everything is dreary and wet and I always forget to bring my raincoat to work. Hopefully it will just magically warm up one day but I doubt that will happen as everything is just out of whack this year.

Onto the outfits and I've created a selection of three blue toned outfits. First up is this feminine inspired ensemble and I tried to use items I've always avoided. Turns out there are quite a few light blue toned feminine skirts that I dislike and I couldn't pick one I thought looked good. Ended up going with this patterned one as I was able to find tops and outers that went well with it. I think it turned out ok! Second look is a baby-doll outfit as it felt like I hadn't done one of these in ages. I had even forgotten it was a style for a moment! I quite like this outfit as it's simple and the colour is beautiful. The third outfit is an elegant chic inspired look and I'm not sure why I picked this giant purse. Maybe because of it is blue? It is just so big compared to the rest of the outfit. Oh well, I feel I've never really used this item before so there's a first for everything!

You can find all these outfits at my Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).
