January Favourites

Ah this month has been mental! I feel like I didn't accomplish anything and now we are somehow at February already. I'm not even ready for this months favourites and I have no clue what to talk about. When I was in town the other weekend, I did come across this gorgeous Barbie display in a toy store. Look at all those collector Barbies!! They even had the new Rewind line which is super cool and I like the designs of those dolls. Unfortunately I didn't find what I was actually looking for in this store which was some Sylvanian Families toys. They are my new obsession and I'm trying to find the perfect one to buy as my first one. Sadly I haven't come across it yet so I shall keep searching.

Gaming

Finally got a stylus for my switch! I've been playing stacks of pixel art and puzzle games on the console and its much easier with the stylus. Totally obsessed with the games I got during the boxing day sales and I've somehow played 7 hours of Hatsune Miku Puzzle. Like it's really good and I haven't even started the hard levels yet with the 300 pieces!

Beauty

Ordered some products from Revolution Beauty even though I wasn't originally planning to. I was going about my life when they sent an email for Buy 2 Get 1 Free. So I thought why not have a look however I ended up buying all sale items which is what I usually do on the site. You can get such good deals! I love their brushes and wanted to get more for my collection. I do have Morphe brushes but I find they wear out quicker and the Revolution ones work better for me. Picked up the Beetlejuice set as it had all the eyeshadow brush types I like. Also got two lip glosses because I'm obsessed with Revolution lip products. The other two items were a coffee detox eye cream thing and a lip scrub which ended up leaking all over the package. Luckily only the brush box was damaged and I wasn't going to keep it anyway. One of my lip glosses was also cracked but no serious damage. Didn't have much luck with this order but it can happen.

One Year Challenge Week 26: Marizpan Sky

Marzipan Sky would be one of my favourite brands in the game for a multitude of reasons. The clothes are gorgeous, there are so many to pick from and I feel it is the closest to what I would like my style to be in real life. I tend to wear clothing similar to the brand and I always get ideas for things I'd like to try wearing in real life from the game. For this weeks outfits, I attempted to put together some Marzipan Sky themed outfits that I haven't made before. That wasn't too hard as it seems there are items from the brand I still haven't used! That just shows how many items there are! I quite like this first outfit as the print is quite unique and interesting how the directions of the patterns changes on the top and bottom parts. Went for a pretty green look for the second outfit and then some cosy brown for the third one. Couldn't help myself with this brown long sleeved inner which I used to love in Fashion Forward. I would use it in outfits for myself and at the boutique.

One Year Challenge Week 25: Stripey

Isn't stripey such a bizarre term in Style Boutique? Like you would think they would call it stripes. Sounds more professional but anyway stripey is the theme for this weeks outfits. This type of pattern is another favourite of mine and end up using it quite often. Striped patterned items just look so nice and elegant in outfits. Went for a nautical inspired look for the first outfit and this is something I've always wanted to put together. This skirt just screams sailor themed and I paired it with even more stripes for the inner. Second outfit is a rock themed outfit because Stage Dive is home to a wealth of striped items. Rock music must love striped pants and tops because they are quite a lot in that brand. I ended up going with this black and grey themed look and even worked those silly arm warmers into it. Final outfit a feminine look or you could even call it girly. This dress is quite lovely and it kind of reminds me of sleepwear for some reason. In love with this hand bag as the colours are gorgeous and the size is perfect.

My K-Pop Collection 2022

Originally I was planning on posting this collection post earlier this month but I got lucky and found two more CD's to add to my collection. I actually brought more K-Pop albums than I thought I would in 2022 and it was kind of fun! I used to enjoy getting albums so much before I got hardcore into collecting Japanese releases. Korean albums are always a joy to unbox as you get a good range of goodies and the albums are always gorgeous. Ended up picking up eight new additions to the collection during 2022 and I'll talk about those first.

Starting off with the lovely 1st Album from one of my favourite groups Orange Caramel. This Lipstick album was always hard to find and I never purchased it when it first got released as I wasn't buying albums back then. So for many years I could never find it for a decent price as I would always see it for like $100+! Eventually I found this copy on Yahoo Auctions and now it is part of my collection yay!

Let's talk about Red Velvet who has suddenly turned into my current obsession. I've found out I can get hold of Red Velvet albums quite easily through a local music store so I somehow ended up buying three in the last two months! Sorry the pictures are separate which is due to me taking the first photo with the Ice Cream Cake and a little later I brought Rookie and Red Summer. Also have Summer Magic on order but that one is taking longer to arrive. When I ordered the Ice Cream Cake one, I was so worried I would get sent the Automatic Version and I really wanted the Ice Cream Cake version. Luckily randomness was on my side! For Rookie, I got Irene as the cover which is nice but I would've preferred Yeri as she is my bias and I have heaps of her photocards.

A few individual CD's now starting with Cignature's 1st EP Album Listen and Speak. This is a group that I quite enjoy listening to and I picked up this album in particular as it had all their previous digital single releases on it. Good to see that the group is still together and is even releasing a new single soon! I can order their 2nd EP from my local store so maybe that is on the cards this year.

One Year Challenge Week 24: Check

Check has always been one of my favourite patterns for clothing. There is something about it that draws me to it. Maybe it's the reminder of school uniforms or the preppy aspect. Brooke Bridge isn't the only brand to feature check in Style Boutique however it was the first outfit I made of course. Couldn't help myself! I went with a red toned uniform look with quite a few check patterned items. It kinda works and isn't too all of the place with patterns. Second outfit is a feminine one and Chorale has a number of check items. I went with these pants that I have a love hate relationship with. Like sometimes they are the perfect pants for an outfit and other times I'm like ugh I hate those. They worked well for this outfit though and the soft brown tones are elegant. Final look is a girly look as I wanted to try using these pants I haven't used much. Not sure what it is about them that I tend to avoid but they looked nice for this look. Looks like I just chucked on every check themed item from the girly style!

One Year Challenge Week 23: Summer

It's summer time which means warm weather themed outfits for time outdoors! It feels crazy to say but after a long bout of cooler weather last year, it is super nice to finally have summer here and wear some cooler clothes. Decided to not go for the obvious and pick bikini outfits for this theme. I went for some more casual looks starting with this cute girly themed outfit. I always want to use the floral headbands but they often don't look good in my outfits. But this time it turned out perfect and matched well with the light tones on the clothing. Second outfit is lively themed and I went with some pieces I don't normally use. This dress is quite crazy looking and could you imagine how bright pink it would be in real life? Third outfit is a psychedelic theme as I'm still loving that style and it is quite lovely. I would totally wear this outfit in real life if the top had different straps. I just cannot do halter tops and I don't even know if they are still in fashion nowadays.
