After School Bang! - Single Review (Limited Edition CD+DVD Type B)

The final version of one of the best After School song's ever is here and it always feels so fulfilling when I post reviews of every version/edition of a CD. It is like accomplishing a truly trivial task that probably only a small amount of people have interest in. Oh what a wonderful time it is to have niche interests and I feel After School is quite niche as the group isn't even around anymore and some new K-Pop fans wouldn't know how they are. I will always love them though and I was so happy to get all the versions of Bang! 

Bang! is the debut Japanese single from Korean girl group After School who is also known as AFTERSCHOOL in Japan. This single was released on August 17th 2011 and came in three versions: Limited Edition CD+DVD Type A, Limited Edition CD+DVD Type B and CD Only. The song was also previously released as a digital single a few days earlier and is the Japanese version of their hit song 뱅! Bang! This review is for the Limited Edition CD+DVD Type B which I got second-hand on Yahoo Auctions. It is pretty identical to the Limited Edition Type A design wise with the cardboard sleeve and concepts. For this photo, the girls have ditched the marching band hats for a more sexy look. The Limited Edition Type B of Bang! comes with the following contents:

One Year Challenge Week 50: Over $1000

The theme of this week is to create an outfit worth over $1000 and it seems kind of pointless as it was just going to be a Chic themed set. And that's exactly what happened as I made outfits from items from Enid Chen, Purple Moon and ARIANNA. For something new, I tried to use items I haven't used much before and I enjoyed finding pieces from Enid Chen and Purple Moon that would go together. First outfit is a boring business look however it has a nice bling touch with the watch. Middle outfit I combined some costume pieces from Purple Moon with this outer and boots from Enid Chen. Quite the statement with the bright turquoise colour. Final outfit is my favourite with the cute uniform look. Love how well this skirt matched the costume pieces and it is too perfect! The bag was another amazing find and this looks way better than the original costume from Purple Moon.

Onto the next version of After School's Japanese single Bang! After looking at the CD Only version in the last review post. This won't be a super long text based post as I've said most of the stuff to say in my previous review but we can look at some pretty pictures instead! Today we will be looking at the Limited Edition CD+DVD Type A which comes in a nice cardboard sleeve.

One Year Challenge Week 49: Soy

Ah Soy the one brand that I just cannot become a fan of in Style Boutique. Like don't get me wrong, it has some lovely items! I feel it isn't as strong as other brands in the game and could've been expanded upon. Boho-chic is an awesome style and there are many amazing pieces available in real life that fit that aesthetic. Soy always seems on par with Kanokoi for me with having a unique image but limited items. I was pleased with all three looks I put together and felt they were different enough from my usual boho-chic looks. The colour schemes showcase the items from the brand and the earthly tones of Soy. The third look is my favourite as the red is just gorgeous and I love the bag matching the dress.

After School Bang! - Single Review (CD Only)

I'm back with another After School CD review and this time it is their Japanese single Bang! I thought I would post all three versions for the next few reviews as I have all of them in my collection ready to go. Feels like forever ago when I brought this single and that was back when After School was still a group! Ugh makes me so annoyed that this group suffered a terrible end and we could've had many more amazing songs from the girls!

My original one is the only one to include a photocard however and I got E-Young who is quickly becoming my new bias in the group! June Favourites

June has definitely been the fastest month of 2023 as I felt like I blinked and missed the entire thing. It feels like we were only just at the beginning and now it's the 3rd of July. June was a crazy month weather wise here with lots of rain and storms. There was an intense cold front which was horrible as I cannot stand the cold weather and having to wear thermals constantly. The rain hasn't been bad the last few days however it is going all next week. Anyway here is a cute pic of Pudge at his birthday this month in my Animal Crossing town. Too adorable!!!

Gaming

There was a good sale recently on the e-shop so I picked up some new titles. Mainly puzzle games as that is my favourite genre on the switch. I did get Pixel Paint 2 as I loved the first one except it doesn't work well with a stylus. So disappointing as the game is a billion times better using the stylus to colour. Whenever I try to use the stylus like I would in the first game, it just moves the screen around. So I haven't played that one much as colouring using the joy-cons is so boring and tedious. Also picked up the Island Cities game which is the sequel to Island Farmer. Another great game on the console and I've almost finished the Cities one already. A sequel Pretty Princess Party was released and it made me remember that I actually brought the first one and forgot. So silly and I cannot believe I hadn't played it until now. Only played a small bit as I've been busy and it is quite fun. Very cute and the mini games are exciting.

Books

Thought I would bring in a new section to the monthly favourites as all I tend to do nowadays read. Lately I've been kind of bored with Youtube so I decided to try out listening to an audiobook. I've always stayed away from them as I thought they would be difficult to follow and remind me of podcasts which my brain doesn't like listening to. So far I've listened to three Agatha Christie books and I'm hooked! I'm a big fan of mystery stories and these are enjoyable to play in the background whilst I do stuff. Plus I can add the reading stats to my Goodreads and Storygraph apps with the later having some great audiobook tracking.

Music

Has anyone else been watching Queendom Puzzle? I wasn't too sure about following it at first because I didn't enjoy Girls Planet 999. But some of the girls on the show are from my favourites groups so I tuned into the first episode. Now I'm hooked and have been taking part in the voting. Juri from Rocket Punch is my number one pick then I've been voting for Yeonhee as well.

One Year Challenge Week 48: Beachwear

It seems quite silly to be posting swim wear themed outfits in the middle of winter. Really didn't plan that one out well and this would've been more suited for the summer months. Oh well cannot go back in time now to fix that one up. For this weeks theme I went with two bikini looks and one poolside one. Styling Star has a good range of bikini tops to pick from and amazingly there are bottoms that match perfectly. It always makes me wish there was a swimwear brand in the game and all of these could be moved to that brand. The middle outfit is a fun look for a poolside party and I like these bold themed items that I haven't used much. Quite fun for a summer night!
