Colour Outfits Collection - Grey Round 2!

A while back I posted a set of grey toned outfits as part of my Colour Outfits Collection and I finally remembered that I had taken an extra set of photos! I miss doing these colour challenges as it was fun to build an outfit around a specific colour. Does anyone else find grey a difficult colour to wear? I can only wear certain shades of it and it's more of a casual attire colour for me. Like I'll wear it at home more than I wear it out.

Overall I love all the outfits in this collection as I feel they cover a variety of looks and images. Every outfit feels unique and some I had to even stop to think what image they were because they were that nice! My favourites would be girly, bold, gothic, glam/flirty and eastern. The bold outfit in particular reminded me of the Josie & The Pussycats movie which I absolutely love! That movie is an underrated classic and it should be way more popular than it is. I quote it quite a lot and I saw a Instagram story that other day where someone saw a bumper sticker that said 'Dujour Means Seatbelts'. Thought that hilarious and I'd love to have that sticker! MOMOLAND The Best ~Korean Ver.~ Album Review - Limited CD+DVD Edition

Omg this review took forever to create because this album is the hardest thing to photograph! I've tried posting about this MOMOLAND CD multiple times since I got it but the photos always came out terrible. It's just the worst CD ever to take photos of and I think I finally got some decent photos to post. They are a combination of my Nikon camera and Oppo phone so hopefully we can see all the details! Let's take a look at MOMOLAND The Best ~Korean Ver.~

MOMOLAND The Best ~Korean Ver.~ is MOMOLAND's debut Japanese release and is basically a best album. It was released on February 28th 2018 and came in three editions: Regular CD Edition, Limited CD+DVD Edition and Tower Records Limited CD+DVD. Now this CD took a long time to find and purchase. I searched for a long time and was outbid in a few auctions. Eventually I found this copy of the Limited Edition in good condition and snapped it up. My copy came with the following contents:

• CD - 10 track album
• DVD - Contains 3 MV's & 3 Dance Versions
• Jewel Case
• Lyrics Booklet

The concept for this album is just the Freeze and Wonderful Love comebacks merged together as the photos are all from those promotions. Being an album released for debut in Japan, it is common to see companies reuse images from other comebacks. My idea on why this was done is because this album was released in Japan shortly after the group exploded with the song BBoom BBoom. So the with the success of the song, the company wanted to expand to Japan quickly and released this album about a month or two after BBoom BBoom came out. It would then take a few months for the group's debut Japanese single to be released. The easiest thing for the company to do was the just recycle photos rather than taking new ones (as the girls were super busy around this time).

April Favourites

Cannot believe April has come to an end, that month just seemed to go on forever! I feel like I didn't do much and then I feel like I did too much. It was super busy at work and hopefully will die down now. Honestly I'm not sure what to write in this month's favourites as I didn't recall much I did outside of work. I haven't been playing any video games at all as I've just lost interest currently. Maybe if my local Nintendo club starts back up, it might inspire me a bit. We had to put meetings on hiatus due to the pandemic and it's never started back up again. I do miss going into town to them as it was fun to check out all the niche stores and the local book chain as re-opened in a larger heritage building and I'm dying to check it out! Someday this month I might make the trip into town as I thinking I might need some buttons from a sewing store that is only in town.

I've been super into journaling during April and trying to do it everyday. Last month I posted about the new bullet journal I brought from Aliexpress and it is amazing! The quality of the paper is outstanding and I love how there is no bleed through. Well worth it and if I fill this one up quick, I'll get another one. I'm thinking of maybe trying a Hobonichi next year as I want to get more serious with this hobby but they are so expensive to import here. This week a large order from Aliexpress arrived which is where I buy most of my craft supplies. I seriously need to cut back on the stickers as I cannot close the box I store some of them in currently! This lot was just too cute and will be put to good use.

Music

Only one new CD this month as I'm trying to cut back my collection. But I've been looking for Britney Spears' Blackout album for years and never had much luck. Well I was at Salvo's yesterday and guess what? It was there! I couldn't believe it as I've never seen it anywhere and I've been looking in Op Shops for a few years now. Super excited as I used to own the album and somehow lost it one day. Nice addition to the collection and I think that might be one of the last Britney albums I need. Anyway, I'll end this month's favourites with some songs I've been enjoying lately. See you in May!

Animal Crossing New Horizons Play Journal - Springtime

Springtime in Animal Crossing is one of my favourite seasons in the game as the trees are beautiful and the weather is perfect! Just like normal Spring weather! These screenshots are from October/November 2020 so a fair while ago. Slowly getting through all my screenshots and at the pace I've been posting play journals, we should be up to current times soon! First up are some lovely screenshots of the area around my house during the cherry blossom season. I wish I could have these pink trees all the time as they match me pink house exterior perfectly!

My birthday falls in October so there was a birthday celebration of course! My best buddie Marshal hosted it at his house and I was so happy to see my favourite Pudge attended. Clearly the best villager and has taken the top spot for me out of all the villagers. Birthdays are quite cute in New Horizons however I didn't know everything I had to do for it. I had a busy day that day and didn't know I had to give the cupcakes to my villagers. They all missed out and I felt bad :( Oh well there is always next year! Kind of silly as on your birthday you are often busy and need to find the time to play (or at least change the in-game clock sneakily).

ぴこぷり Pikopuri January - March 2017 Magazine - ガールズモード 3 Girls Mode 3

A few years back, I wrote a blog post covering the ガールズモード 3 Girls Mode 3 content in the Japanese magazine ぴこぷり Pikopuri. I was recently sorting through my bookshelf and was reading my ぴこぷり Pikopuri issues and thought it was a great time to post some more Pikopuri Girls Mode content! This time I'll be showcasing the January - March 2017 issue which features a cute Isabelle on the cover. There was a fun bonus with this issue which was a guide to NPC's in Animal Crossing New Leaf and I actually use this one a bit!

Onto the ガールズモード 3 Girls Mode 3 photos now and this issue only features four pages of the game. The game had been out for a long time and wasn't as popular to be featured as a key title in the magazine. It wasn't even featured on the front cover and with that, I knew there wouldn't be too much stuff in it. I actually brought this for the Animal Crossing book and the Girls Mode stuff was a nice bonus.

I always love admiring these pages as I adore how they layout all the items and match them to illustrations. It always reminds me of old KERA or Japanese fashion magazines. Everything catches your eye! Nice to see how the editors of the magazine styled the items and some I would've never thought of. The ガールズモード 3 section always features a little comic featuring various characters from the series and this issue features two different stories with one about Sophie. Awww she is the cutest and I miss her in Styling Star.

Idoling!!! ロデオマシーン Rodeo Machine Album Review - Regular CD Only Edition

I'm not one who uses Spotify much or even at all really, but it is a great tool for discovering new artists! I was listening to some AKB48 on there and a suggested group was one called アイドリング!!! Idoling!!! Now I had never heard about this group at all and a fair bit of their discography was on Spotify. Turns out I quite like them and decided to grab one of their albums when I had the chance. After some research, I found out they were created by Fuji TV in 2006 and had a variety show devoted to them. Sadly they disbanded back in 2015 and I haven't found much else about them online besides Wikipedia information. Not sure if they were super popular in Japan or not compared to other idol groups of the time.

アイドリング!!! Idoling!!! ロデオマシーン Rodeo Machine Regular CD Only Edition

For my first アイドリング!!! Idoling!!! CD, I got their 6th album ロデオマシーン Rodeo Machine. The album was released on March 18th 2015 and was released in four editions: Limited Edition A CD+DVD, Limited Edition B CD+BLURAY, Regular CD Only Edition and Limited Loppi HMV Edition. It was a tad tricky to find one in good condition or at all. At the time I purchase this, there wasn't many listings for it and I could only find listings for each of the different editions. I ended up getting the Regular Edition as I liked the cover with all the members and it was quite affordable. My copy of ロデオマシーン Rodeo Machine came with the following contents:

• CD - 16 track album
• Jewel Case
• Lyrics booklet
• OBI
• Pony Canyon flyer

My CD did come with a damaged case which I'm not too fused about as it was hard to even find a listing of this album in a good condition. The CD worked fine and there wasn't any serious damage to the entire thing. The only part broken is the top connector part of the front case and I've had this happen with plenty of other CD's over the years. アイドリング!!! Idoling!!! had quite a lot of members at this period of promotion and they are all featured on the Regular Edition cover. That was the mean reason I wanted it as I like covers that have all the members on them. The back is quite cute as it has the members in the same position but wearing a fresh face look instead. What a fun concept and matches the whole idols you can relate to concept that was popular at the time.

Outfit Of The Day - Formally Red

This is the last outfit from my set of red toned looks I put together in recent weeks. Isn't red the perfect shade for preppy styled outfits? I think it works well as it is such a formal colour and common for school uniforms here. I was in the red house at school so it definitely was a colour I had to wear! I quite like this outfit as it's casual looking whilst having a formal touch to it. This particular jumper style is a favourite of mine from Brooke Bridge and I love using them to match with the colours of the stripes. Can't finish off a preppy look without glasses! I've gone for a red toned pair to match the rest of the outfit of course.
