March Favourites

This month's favourites is going to be a tad different as I haven't really done much this month. March was just all over the place and I didn't even play any games this month! Wasn't in the mood for playing anything and I was spending a lot of time on creative projects. Plus I was pretty busy at work with staff shortages and such. So I thought for this month's favourites, I would just share some things I brought this month!

First up is this beautiful bullet journal I brought! I have been on the hunt for a while now for the perfect notebook and boy was a challenge. I went to every stationery store here and the range wasn't what I was looking for. Whilst I did find beautiful notebooks, the paper wasn't up to the standard I was after and nothing jumped out as the perfect one. I didn't want to get a 80 GSM book as I thought my supplies would leak through or show on the back page. Ended up finding this one of trusty old Aliexpress! It is from a store called Buke Notebook and the quality is amazing. The cover feels rather elegant and the paper is on high quality. Price was reasonable around $24AUD for me including tax & shipping. The seller packed the item perfectly and even included some goodies! Love the bookmark as I actually needed another bookmark! I also got some stamps and an ink pad from Aliexpress and it shows up great on the paper. Definitely looing forward to using this over the next few months.

Shopdo Visits - All The Styles!!!

Lately I've been watching a lot of movies and playing Style Boutique. One of the things I enjoy doing is chilling out by visiting random Shopdo boutiques. Clearly one of the best features of Shopdo as it let's you see all the wonderful outfits other players create. Now it does bug me that I can only visit players in the AUS/EUR region and not other regions. But there are enough lovely things to see in our region. First off is this adorable character I found and I love her makeup! The blush looks really cute and very trendy!

Next up are two players I came across that had cool looking outfits and I adore these combinations. Never thought about using this style of inner with baggy pants. Like it works quite well! The second look is a favourite of mine as black is always stylish and I've been really into this short skirt look lately in real life. Outfit is on point with the dark toned boutique interior as well.

Outfit Of The Day - Just A Preppy Look

There isn't too much to say about this outfit other than it's just a preppy outfit. That's how I feel about it, nothing special. I wasn't feeling too inspired when I created it, I just wanted to do something with the Brooke Bridge brand. Sometimes I feel that way when I play the game sometimes. Like I just want to make an outfit without any reason behind it. Does anyone else play that way also? I wish the 3DS had more fashion styling games and don't get me started on the Nintendo Switch! I have the one decent fashion coordinating game on there which is SELFY COLLECTION and it's such a pain to scroll through all the items to create outfits. I've reviewed the game here if you are interested in it! If only there were more fashion games on the switch because I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Play Journal - Villager Adventures

I couldn't think of what to do for this week's blog post, so I decided on another Animal Crossing New Horizons play journal. I have enough of a backlog of screenshots to post another journal so let's go! First off we have the best villager ever, Pudge! He was hanging outside his house doing some exercise in the rain. Classic Pudge right there and his little face is so squishy!!!

There was a few villager birthday's in this lot of screenshots and I took some snaps at Marshal's big party! I love how the villager's visit each other's parties and doesn't Marshal look smashing in his little outfit. I need to get better at remembering my villagers birthdays! I have an Animal Crossing app on my phone now so it can remind me when a villager has one. If only I'll remember by the time I get to play at the end of the day after work.

Outfit Of The Day - Chic Boldness

More red toned outfits for today's Outfit Of The Day as I've been obsessed with this colour lately. Would you call this look chic or bold? I feel it has the characteristics of both styles and seems like the two styles match well together. It's like a power chick look for hitting the clubs whilst rocking some stylish accessories. I know the outfits are only virtual, but it looks like everything is made of a different fabric. That skirt seems like pleather and the jacket also has a shine to it. My favourite part of this look is the way the top and skirt match. Love that little midriff between the two and very retro looking (as in 2000's).

Crayon Pop Dancing All Night Single Review - PCSC Edition

After years of searching, I finally found the elusive PCSC edition of Crayon Pop's Dancing All Night single. This thing was a pain to track down and I had almost given up on finding it. Even thought it was a myth! I had only seen a few photos online of it on Japanese and Korean blogs. I eventually came across this copy late last year by putting in different search words. All that matters is that I finally have it for my collection (ahhhhhhh!!!).

Crayon Pop - Dancing All Night PCSC CD+GOODS Edition

Dancing All Night is the second Japanese single from the most awesome K-Pop group ever Crayon Pop!!! The single was released on November 18th 2015 and was released in four editions: Limited CD+GOODS, Limited CD+DVD, Regular Edition CD Only and Limited PCSC CD+GOODS Edition. I already own the Limited CD+GOODS and Regular Edition and the main reason I'm colleting this single (besides being a huge Crayon Pop stan) is for the covers. I adore the poses on each one and I just had to get my hands on the PCSC for the amazing cover. The edition does comes with a knit cap but the listing I brought omitted it. Wasn't too fussed about that as this CD is rare to find and I already have the knit cap from the other edition. I hope whoever has that knit cap from this CD treasures it and I'm sure they are a big Crayon Pop to even own this edition. My copy of this single only came with the following:

• Lyrics Booklet

The cover of the PCSC edition is just too adorable! The pose matches the Super Mario theme of the outfits. It is my favourite cover between all four editions and I love the berets the girls have on. The back cover has another photo of the girls in a different pose and Pony Canyon (the groups' Japanese representative company) did an amazing job with the photos of this single. There are lovely shots of the girls on different pages and you don't get any boring blank spaces.

Outfit Of The Day - Stylish Tones

Another colour tone I've been obsessed with in Style Boutique is the colour grey. It's always been one I've never taken much notice of and in recent months from doing challenges, I've discovered there is a wealth of grey toned items. Making girly outfits is my favourite so far as I wouldn't put grey as a girly colour in real life. You don't see too many pretty grey items and I consider it more of a casual laid back colour, you know like lounge wear. But the game has me all wrong and you can make lovely looks like the one below. This casual girly style is my obsession lately and I'm all about things that look stylish but comfy. The inner has a pop of colour and sets a nice contrast against the denim skirt. Headed to the flower shop for the photoshoot as I felt it matched the vibe of the outfit.

Animal Crossing New Horizons Play Journal - Island Progress

Slowing making my way through old Animal Crossing New Horizons screenshots. We have finally got into the ones were I'm terraforming my island and it actually looks decent. Hard to believe my island looked this empty at one point in time and it seemed so much bigger! First picture is a lovely shot of a random bridge and you can just feel the calm from this picture. The sky was quite pretty this day and there was a light shower going over the island. Second photo is of Marshal declaring his love for me out in the middle of nowhere. This little squirrel is so adorable and couldn't imagine my island without him.

Speaking of Marshal, I crashed into his house one day with a mission. I was going to get him to stop wearing that hotdog outfit that a villager gifted him. It's just not his style! Thought the vampire costume was more up his alley and he seemed to like it. Looks way cuter and whilst the hotdog was amusing, it just made me cringe every time I saw him in it.

Outfit Of The Day - Feminine Is My Style

Been on bit of a red kick lately in Style Boutique and today's outfit is another red toned outfit. I went with a feminine look as I've been enjoying creating feminine looks in the game. There are just so many items at Chorale and I swear I haven't explored them all. I'm always finding ones I've never used in outfits and that was the inspiration for today's look. I wanted to use this open style top as I've tended to avoid them. Paired it with a stylish inner and some smashing red accessories. The pants always remind me of David Jones which is a department store chain here. Their logo is basically the black version of this and I'm not sure if they still use it or not. I don't shop there anymore as it's a tad out of my price range and I'm more of a Myer person (which is another department store of a similar style).

New Style Boutique - Recreating Fashion Show Outfits

Back in January I posted a play journal featuring various fashion show outfits from New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward. Well I was sitting around recently and thought it would be a cool idea to try to recreate those looks in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star! It actually was super easy to find the items and there was only a few parts I got stuck on. All of these were five star winning outfits in the fashion show so it will be interesting to see how that look translates to the visual style of Styling Star.

For each outfit, I've included a screenshot of the original outfit for reference. My screenshots from Fashion Forward are like the worst quality and what on earth was I doing to them back in the day. Or where they just that bad? I remember I used to try to edit them in photoshop but nowadays they just look blurry to me. And I just got new glasses so I'm definitely not going blind. The quality of taking photos in the game improved drastically between the two games except for the fact you can only delete 15 photos at a time. I hate that as it takes me forever to clear out my album.

Starting off with what the game refers to as a cute look and I'm more inclined to call it girly than cute. Super simple to recreate and the only part I had trouble with was the hair colour. I couldn't get this beautiful ice blonde colour and went with a standard blonde instead. The theme description is a bit off as it describes a cute princess which I would think is more Marble Lily style than Marzipan Sky. This outfit is definitely cute but I wouldn't say princess style.
