I feel like nothing happened this month because I was sick for most of it and could barely post on here. There is a bunch of posts lined up that I need to finish and post, but at least I finally got the Streetflow Guide up this month for the Style Boutique series. I will be posting some more glam/flirty and sporty item guides either next month or in March. Now onto the favourites for January! Gaming Finally brought a Nintendo Switch this month as I'm getting hyped for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It looks super cute so far and I'm interested to see how much customisation is allowed with things such as landscaping and furniture. Also the character designs look great and we are getting much cuter noses for once. Been playing a mixture of games this month such as Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Sims 4 and Minecraft. Picked up Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp a bit more as the recent events have been fun and after a billion years, I decorated my campsite properly! Here's a adorable picture from my campsite!
Music Nowadays I've been listening to random stuff in my collection usually in my car. I just put a bunch of songs on the USB and play them so I remember songs I've totally forgot about. The main songs I've been playing this month are some classics from the 1990's. Been super into the Night At The Roxbury soundtrack as it's my favourite movie and it has the best soundtrack. Also whilst having a 90's/early 2000's binge on Youtube, I came across 'This Is How We Party' by S.O.A.P. which I had totally forgotten about since the 1990's! I've brought one of their singles off ebay so I'm excited for that to come. Totally need to do a big CD Haul post soon as I've picked up a number of albums from various stores over the recent weeks. Most are western releases so no K-Pop or J-Pop stuff apart from one Blackpink album. Yes I finally found the black version of their 1st Mini Album - Square Up at a JB Hi-Fi store! My normal store only had the pink ones but I found the black one at another store nearby. So somehow I've ended up with all of Blackpinks physical Korean mini albums, not sure how that happened as it's never been something I've intended to do. I do however enjoy their mini album designs and all the goodies you get with it.
To round off this favourites post as there isn't much else to share, I'll just post a bunch of songs I've been jamming to this month. Jeez I miss the 1990's and early 2000's when music was so much better. I just don't get the current music trends and can't really get into anything new. I'll get new stuff from my favourite bands like The Living End and Kaiser Chiefs but even with them I prefer their older stuff.
Time for a nugu group review on Marzipan Wonderland as nugu groups don't get enough notice and usually end up disbanding. Case in point today's group which is myB which is of course disbanded now after only releasing two singles. A while back I picked up a copy of their 2nd single 또또 DDO DDO so that's what I'll be reviewing today!
또또 DDO DDO is the second single from the K-Pop group myB who were under Maroo Entertainment. Originally debuting as a five member, the company added a sixth member for this release. 또또 DDO DDO was released in November 2015 and came in one version. The single comes with the following contents:
CD - 4 track single
Photobook
The design of 또또 DDO DDO is very colourful and has a Lego/brick concept for the single. The front cover has the six members in colourful outfits posing in a circle arrangement and the back cover is kept simple with the group logo and track listing. All the usual production credit stuff is listed on the back as well as links to the group's Facebook and Fancafe. The track listing is shown again on the interior but as cute Lego blocks with the Hangul written on them.
The Style Boutique series features a variety of clothing styles/images and over the course of the series, some styles have been removed entirely from the game. One such style is the sporty style which was last featured in New Style Boutique 2: Fashion Forward (known as Style Savvy: Fashion Forward in NA and GIRLS MODE ガールズモード3 in JPN). The style was referred to as sporty in each region of the game and the brand is known as Streetflow in the EUR/AUS and NA regions whereas in JPN, it is referred to as Upbeat.
The Japanese guide book to GIRLS MODE ガールズモード3 describes the style for people who love sport and dance and features a large amount of active wear. Items that can be found under the main brand feature stripes, logos and bright colours! Here are examples of items from the brand as listed in the Japanese guide book.
The sporty style was removed from the series after Fashion Forward and was no longer featured in the next game Styling Star. The Streetflow/Upbeat brand is no longer available in the Style Boutique games and the items from that brand were divided in other brands within the game. This guide will detail all the items that were available from the Streetflow/Upbeat brand and the number of colours each item came in. You can also find which brand the item now belongs to in Styling Star, for example the Dotty Hoodie is now found at April Bonbon. Many items that originally belonged to Streetflow/Upbeat did not reappear in Styling Star and were removed entirely from the items available in game. Those items will be listed at the end of the guide along with pictures of the original items from Fashion Forward. First Style Boutique post for the new decade and 2020 is a Colour Outfits Collection. Today is all about red outfits and whilst red is not a colour I ever wear, I did happen to come up with a great selection of outfits for the challenge. Each brand in the game has a great variety of red toned items and it's pretty easy to put together outfits with them. My top outfits of this collection would be eastern, girly and psychedelic. The eastern look is simple yet elegant and I finally found a use for these shorts! I love the design of them but rarely use them as I don't wear this colour scheme often. They look great with the printed tee and Purple Moon hair clip that totally should belong in the Kanokoi brand. Someone mentioned that once in a comment on one of my blogs and I 100% agree now that it could be part of that brand. Whilst the girly outfit looks closer to maroon rather than red, it's a perfect spring time outfit and I love how you can pair camisoles and tank tops under this style of dress. Love the psychedelic outfit of course because I'm all about that style in the game and I finally got to use this skirt and top in an outfit! Lively
I thought since I'm only doing monthly Shopdo Updates now instead of weekly ones, it would be nice to update my Caprice Chalet room monthly again. I've done room updates on and off for a few years now and in 2020, I want to try and update it more. Decided to make a new room from scratch instead of uploading an older design as it's been ages since I made a new room. I had a lot of fun with it and it's nice to see the older miniatures that aren't in the game anymore.
This month's room is themed around a cute bedroom and features soft colour tones and cute accessories. I used FABBY mascot and slippers from the Pink Latte DLC which look adorable. There was a run included in the layout I first made, but once I selected this flooring I removed it as there is a rug included in it already. You can download my Caprice Chalet room at the room address 180-239-9851 in all regions of New Style Boutique 2!
First Shopdo update for the new decade as well as the new year! Today marks the first day of 2020 and I'll be continuing on with my monthly Shopdo Updates as that schedule has been working out well for me in recent months. I've got a new elegant inspired boutique interior this month and three new outfits to share with you. I decided to start off with a preppy outfit for my first outfit and I love the pairing of this inner and skirt. The plaid on the skirts matches the cute little tie on the shirt and it looks so classy. Originally I wanted to go with a brown toned outfit to match the other two looks but decided on this look as I like the overall look of it. Second outfit is a feminine outfit to match the new interior and I went with some items I knew went well together. Always used to pair this long sleeve inner with these high-waisted shorts in Fashion Forward. The final outfit is titled Girly Classic as it's a look I used to wear all the time in Fashion Forward and felt like bringing it back for the new year. I always had this thing for pairing these three quarter pants with this particular style of outer. You can find all three outfits at Shopdo ID 0006271056 in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star (EUR/AUS Region).
Time for the new boutique interior and I decided to go with something elegant and simple this time. The feminine style was the main inspiration and I tried to work with the lighter coloured furniture items. Originally I wanted to use the brick wallpaper that covers the entire three walls but I couldn't find the right counter to match it. I hate how you can't remove the counter as I'd rather not have one and it's a pain to match against other items.
