Style Boutique 3: Shopdo Owner ID

Finally set up my Shopdo account in New Style Boutique 3: Styling Star! It took me a while to get around to it as I was busy finishing the main story line of the game and then I took a break from the game after playing over 42 hours of it. Anyway I'm excited for the Shopdo feature! Fashion Forward had lacklustre online feature so it's great Nintendo decided to add exciting online features in this new game.

The Shopdo app can be accessed via the phone menu in Style Boutique 3. It requires internet connection to use and allows you to visit online stores of other players from around the world. If you would like to visit my Shopdo store, use the owner ID search function and look up the owner ID 0006271056. Myself and a few other players have discovered however that Shopdo may have a region locking feature on it. People noted that they are unable to download my Shopdo Owner ID and I cannot download other peoples either, unless they are playing the same region game as me (Style Boutique 3). I've encountered this in other Nintendo games such as Disney Magical World where you can only access and download features from players in your own region. I don't understand why this is the case though because you could download rooms from players from other regions in Fashion Forward. So disappointing that I cannot access so many amazing items from other players and kinda makes the feature pointless if you are limited with what you can download.

My Shopdo Owner ID

I've created three outfits that are available to purchase at my Shopdo link. The outfits are baby-doll, psychedelic and preppy. I wanted to create some unique and adorable outfits for other players to buy. As you can see the first outfit is the baby-doll one which is identical to the one my character is wearing. I just loved these Marble Lily dresses in the previous game and was so excited to see them in the new game. The psychedelic outfit is a fun little number that I created using that silly poncho polka outer item. The last outfit is the preppy outfit and features the jacket from Brooke Bridge that I absolutely love.

  1. Ahaha what a coincidence, I just did a Shopdo post too. Great minds think alike, I guess :P

I'll make sure to pay you a visit and buy these lovely outfits. And yes, I love those starry sky dresses! I was happy to see them back too, they're so pretty.

    1. I checked out your blog post :) I'll leave you a lovely comment

I don't think you'll be able to visit my Shopdo as other people are unable to access my ID if they are playing Style Savvy. It seems Nintendo region locked the online content :(

    2. Aw, that sucks :( well, at least know that I WANTED to visit your shop and buy your outfits. And take some pictures with your character! That's always my favorite part.

    3. It's really silly really because in Fashion Forward, you could download rooms from other regions. So I just don't get why it doesn't work with this one.

  2. Hmmm...I'm having some trouble with your code. I've entered it multiple times and each time it tells me "Not found." Not sure why this is happening. Have other people been able to find you?

    1. I figured out why it isn't working as I've encountered the same issue. It seems you can only visit Shopdo and download Design Centre items that are in the same region to you. I cannot seem to download any Owner ID's or Designer Items from Japanese players or people in North America. It works when I download Owner ID's from players in France as they are using Style Boutique. Other nintendo games like Disney Magical World did this where you can only visit players in the same region as you.

May I ask what game you are playing, if it's Style Savvy then that may be the reason why it's not working. I'm so disappointed if this is a case :( I don't want to be restricted to just European and Australian players.

    2. Whaaaaat, it's region-locked? Then again, I guess that makes sense since I'm on the NA version. I was able to visit SlyBlue just fine.

This sucks, I was really looking forward to visiting your shop and checking out your outfits. Silly Nintendo, get with the times! Cross-region online play has been a thing for a long time now! >: (

    3. It seems to be region locked, I can't access any NA players ID's or Japanese ones either. It just comes up with not found. It works when I try European players so that must mean it's region locked.

It does suck, I really wanted to visit all my readers boutiques and download items. It's typical nintendo, they just don't understand online features sometimes. The previous game could do it, why can't this one? :(

    4. Imagine the diversity we could've gotten if there was no region locking. At the very least, NA and EU regions should have been able to connect since the NA version is basically the EU version. <_< Oh well, no use complaining about it.

I wanted to tell you, you inspired me to set up my own blog! It looks plain at the moment since I'm still thinking about what to do for the header image and background, but I plan to post regularly. Would love it if you could swing by :) It's stylishmonsterhunter.wordpress.com (or just click my name).

    5. No region locking would've been amazing! Plus would've inspired more people to share content in the game and connect with others. Sometimes I feel Nintendo fails in the online content. I'm in a local Nintendo club and my friends are always disappointed that they can't play Style Boutique with me. I just lend them my 3DS at meets and that's how I ended with lots of design items with silly designs haha.

I checked out your blog and it's great! I used to use wordpress years ago with an old blog and is has some neat features. I'll be sure to check it out regularly!

    6. While the current online features are an improvement over the previous game, I don't think it was executed very well. I often find myself wishing I could see who gave me likes so I can go visit them and return the favour. Or be able to message other players and become friends with them in some kind of in-game friends list. The lack of communication is a bummer!

It's pretty cool that you're in a local Nintendo club! Must be a great way to meet new friends and socialize, I wish I had access to something like that over here.

Thanks for visiting, I'm already putting together photos for the next post. :)

    7. That would be a cool feature being able to visit people that like your content. A best friends list like in ACNL would be great that allows you to quickly visit your favourite players.

I thought when they said they added in messaging it meant you could actually type messages to customers. But instead it's just asking them to visit you at different shops and then you can only send three at a time.

Yeah the nintendo club is pretty cool. I was at a convention once playing Animal Crossing and some people started playing with me and invited me to join. We have a regular meet-up once a month where people play 3DS and Switch together and borrow amiibos to unlock content. It's been really fun and I've meet some of my closest friends through it.
